AFTERNOON BREAK IN OH v. #GeorgeWagnerIV: I think all of the questioning today was to make Jake Wagner comfortable taking questions from John Patrick Parker. @LawCrimeNetwork
After lunch, Parker asked Jake about all of the people he has lied to: The Rhodens- I did. The Manleys - I did. BCI- I did. You lied to Beth Anne - I did. @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker then asks: "you sir, are a cold-blooded killer?"
Jake smiles: "I am."
Parker: You're a liar.
Jake: I was. @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker then has Jake read the GoFundMe story for the account Angela set up to raise money for his legal bills for custody. It ends with "I hate to see my daughter cry." Jake said he approved of his mom setting it up. @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker then shows Jake photos of Corey and Hanna kissing from Facebook. Jake had seen those photos and admits "it brings back memories." He admits, "to an extent" when asked if he was jealous @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker asks whether he sold a woman a chicken at swap days. Jake: "I did." He says he bragged about selling a woman a pregnant chicken at swap days. State objects. He says he's told that story so many times he can't remember whether it actually happened or not @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker asks whether he has problems with his memory. Jake says he does. Jake admits he gets confused sometimes and has trouble remembering things. "Sometimes I remember things in pieces that didn't happen that way." @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake is asked when was the last time that he saw his daughter? He said the day he was arrested. Parker: you said you asked the state for a lot of things? Jake: I did. @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake admits he asked for a family reunion with his mom, brother and dad to happen before he goes to prison and to include Bulvine and Sophia. He was told that wasn't on the table. @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake says he also asked for George and Angela's charges to be dropped. Not Billy's though. State said no. @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake admits he told BCI he hit a deer with Chris Sr's truck the night of the murders on 772. (Is there damage to the truck, I wonder?) @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake also said "I would say I remember things like a jigsaw puzzle. Some of the things are there and some are not. @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake admits his lawyers had presented the evidence against him prior to his proffer. Jake admits about the death penalty that he didn't want to die. @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker: Do you think going to prison for the rest of your life is punishment?
Jake: No @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker: What do you expect when you go to prison?
State objects. Sustained. Parker: Do you think there will be a workout room? State objects and Canepa laughs audibly. @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker further questions Jake about his memory and what he told prosecutors versus what he testified to. He doesn't remember telling prosecutors that he put the SKS in the truck after firing at Chris Sr.'s truck @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker then asks q's about the goose house which Jake now called a duck house. Jake said he took the guns out of the duffle bag in the new barn in June for Father's Day for Grandpa Wagner. Then he says birthday which is in Jan or Feb @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake said he and Billy planned the murders when asked by Parker. Parker then implies through Q's that Canepa and Scheiderer gave answers to Jake by the way they asked their q's. @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker: do you have plans to meet your daughter?
State objects. Sustained. @LawCrimeNetwork Much more later

Court's back in session. Kari Morrissey is going to testify. Judge says no one here is requiring her to be called as witness. Kari Morrissey says she is calling herself as a witness @LawCrimeNetwork
Morrissey is voluntarily calling herself as a witness. During my investigation of this case and my review of evidence in the case. I came to understand that there was a large batch of live ammo that was in the possession of Thell Reed, Hannah's father @LawCrimeNetwork
@LawCrimeNetwork I also came to realize that a portion of that ammo was taken to the 1883 training camp by Thell Reed and Seth Kenney. Kenney took some of the ammo and turned it into the SO to exonerate himself. It was tagged into evidence under the "Rust" case @LawCrimeNetwork
Back in the courtroom. No plea deal. Seth Kenney is on the stand @LawCrimeNetwork #AlecBaldwin
Seth Kenney knows Thell Reed (Hannah's dad). They're friends and know each other professionally @LawCrimeNetwork #AlecBaldwin
@LawCrimeNetwork Seth Kenney says they were at a cowboy training camp in Texas. Kenney says 325 rounds were taken to Texas. The Live Ammo marked "1883" was driven back to Albuquerque "after the shooting." @LawCrimeNetwork #AlecBaldwin
🧵FOOD FOR THOUGHT: "Egg Lady" juror was widely viewed as a juror favorable to the defense toward the end of the trial. "Blanket Lady" juror was viewed similarly. Becky Hill is accused of asking EL about her thoughts on the evidence and then making up a Facebook post (cont) 1/6
claiming Egg Lady's ex-husband posted that she was talking about the case in a bar. She denied it. That Facebook post has never been shared/revealed/found and the ex-husband denies ever posting it in the Walterboro page 2/6
Egg Lady was replaced - not by Blanket Lady - but by James - another alternate. His brother happened to be the brother of a Colleton Co. Sheriff's deputy who testified at trial (first responder). 3/6
Trying to listen (again) to wiretaps from in OH v. #GeorgeWagner. In one, Angela tells GW4: "They're going to have to show evidence, George. But look, they don't have to show evidence if they got one witness." GW4 then talks people being subpoenaed. @LawCrimeNetwork
AW: "This is what's been going through the grapevine that I've collected information on: they don't have anything. They don't have witnesses, they don't have nothing. Mom, is what they're going to try to use as a witness. They're going to try to use a family member."
GW4 agrees. Then they talk about other people. Angela doesn't understand why they (BCI) think Rita Newcomb (Angela's mother) will be a witness. This is about the grand jury proceedings in 2018 @LawCrimeNetwork
LUNCH BREAK IN OH v. #GeorgeWagnerIV: John Patrick Parker began the cross-examination by being more friendly than Wednesday. Jake seems very comfortable answering Q's from Parker. He has a sort of country boy charm. Hard to explain @LawCrimeNetwork
Parker said, "if you need a break, let me know." Jake responds smiling, "I gotcha." He starts by asking Jake about Billy teaching him to pick locks. Jake went into great detail about how Billy taught him how to do that at 10 or 11 @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake said Billy taught him, also learned by trial and error and Youtube. Jake said "I was very good." He also said he carried a pick in his wallet. Also, Billy taught him survival skills. How to evade police, enter a house @LawCrimeNetwork
COURT IN RECESS FOR THE DAY: After lunch, Angie Canepa went through Jake's plea agreement with him and and asked him about pleading guilty to all charges. He said he agreed to testify "truthfully, completely and accurately." @LawCrimeNetwork
Jake Wagner said he asked, as part of his plea agreement, to see his parents and brother one final time before he went to prison, if they were permitted. Jake said even though he killed 5, he admitted to 8. "I just took it all." @LawCrimeNetwork
On cross, John Patrick Parker walked Jake through the steps he took that night. Jake added a new detail that he said he told prosecutors in July-ish. He said after he shot Frankie and Hannah Hazel @LawCrimeNetwork
