🧵 Ralph Fiennes has recently come out in support of @jk_rowling saying she didn't deserve all the hate she was getting. Let's have a look at the three main "stars" of the HP movies and take a look at how they are not only hurting JK Rowling but women everywhere. #trans
2 Let's start with Daniel Radcliffe. In June 2020 Daniel released a stament via the Trevor Project website saying he worked with the Trevor Project for the last decade and regularly contributes. He said this after Rowling dared to publicly speak the truth about women's rights.
3 In his little self serving stament he acknowledges that Rowling changed the course of his life for the better but then takes a swift left turn to pontificate about what a woman is ironically disregarding the view of the actual woman who gave him his big break.
4 He goes on to parrot what the professional healthcare associations like the Trevor Project have to say and reminds us they have far more expertise in this area. We've heard this before (side-eyes Graham Norton.) So let's take a look at the Trevor Project and their "expertise".
5 The Trevor Project has been around since 1998, it received public funding for the first time in 2009 and styles itself as a suicide prevention organisation for LGBTQ+ youth. What started out as a helpline quickly mushroomed into a text and online social networking community
6 called Trevorspace. It has a youth advisory council and regularly runs workshops in schools. It has however been marred in controversy over the last couple of years. Trevorspace is described as a safe space where those who are suicidal can reach out
7 for support or to connect with other vulnerable LGBTQ+ people who have no one to talk to in their own lives. There's age ratings supposedly for safeguarding concerns but some people have no age in their bio and adults and children are free to message each other in the forums.
8 One parent, the mother of a child who socially transitioned and was subsequently hospitalised after several attempts to take her own life decided to have a look at what her child was doing online to try and shed some light on her child's mental health issues, what she found was
9 shocking. The child frequented TS, chatting with others online. The site was mostly people talking about transitioning, under 18s getting advice from adults on everything from where to buy binders and packers to recommendations on hormones, puberty blockers and fetishes.
10 Children as young as 13 are encouraged down a path of hormones and surgery while giving little thought to the long term consequences of their actions and the advice from the "experts" is gender affirmation is the only way to go. It's a nice little pyramid scheme where the only
11 ones who truly lose out are the children themselves. The Trevor Project has received millions in donations from some huge companies. Surgeons get paid, therapists get paid, binder and packer makers get paid, it's a huge money making industry.
12 There's also some money to be made from detransitioners though little thought or sympathy is given to their plight or suicidal thoughts. They are regularly bullied and vilified across social media as they are seen as traitors to the trans cause.
13 In July 2022 it came to light that Trevor's CEO Amit Paley had previously worked as an associate partner at McKinsey & Co a global corporate consulting firm where he worked with Purdue Pharma boosting their brand and helping push sales of the opioid OxyContin.
14 OxyContin, created by Purdue Pharma is a chemical cousin of heroin, it is extremely addictive. Purdue was one of the biggest sellers of opioids and they contributed heavily to America's opioid crisis. Purdue reaped $31 billion in revenue from sales of this drug alone.
15 In May 2022 the Trevor Project teamed up with Gaggle, a digital surveillance company, listing them as a corporate partner on the Trevor website disclosing that Gaggle had given them between 25 to 50 thousand dollars in support. Gaggle a Dallas based company monitors over
16 five million students across 1500 school districts. Gaggle claims it wants to keep students safe but directly targets LGBT students in some cases 'outing' them to parents and teachers. It's strange that Trevor would team up with Gaggle, perhaps there's 25-50 thousand reasons.
17 So why would Daniel Radcliffe support a company who makes money off the backs of extremely vulnerable young people? A company whose CEO pushed opioids to vulnerable people helping to create an opioid crisis. A company who teamed up with a surveillance company who actively
18 targets LGBT+ students. Perhaps he doesn't have much else going on career wise.

The absolute brass neck of him crying expecto pronouns at us. The sexist views and condescending attitude, you're not a wizard Daniel, you can't turn a man into a woman no matter how hard you try!
19 I wanted to write a thread on all three but this one is long enough. Emma Whatsherface will be next. x

🧵#BillyBragg champion of misogyny in heels is at it again. Shockingly he's hit out at a rape survivor's request for female only care during a hospital stay for life saving surgery. Here's a little look back at some of his other tone deaf opinions over the last few years. Image
2 While in Germany in May 2022 he equated trans ppl with Nazi era Jews. Comparing women asking for respect and safe spaces to the mass murder of millions of Jewish ppl was a deeply insensitive and offensive take and in this woman's opinion completely bonkers! Image
3 In July 2022 Woman's Place UK asked him to engage in an open discussion with them about his Nazi tweet and he declined. Maybe he realised how batcrap crazy his tweet was or maybe his sexist ego wouldn't allow it who knows? #wpuk ImageImage

🧵 In light of Graham Nortons latest interview in which he said "he did not want to be drawn into the trans debate" I wanted to take a look back and remind everyone that despite what Graham now says he did indeed actually lend his voice to that debate for many, many years. Image
2 Here is Graham back in 2014 lending his voice to (in his words) "the trans issue" where he backed a nationwide campaign championing the LGBTQI+ community. This is what he had to say then... Image
3 In 2021 in an interview with The Sunday Times he said... Image
