I was basking in the preciousness of #Jin's #TheAstronaut MV. I was laughing and blushing at j-hope & Namjoon (and ARMY) at the W Korea event. I was gearing up for the Coldplay livestream. And then I read translations of Jin’s live, and broke down. It's been on my mind all day. +

It feels like it’s been a long time, that thoughts abt Bangtan, Could Not Be Discussed (or as Jin said today among the members, Voldemort). There were gaps in what we knew. We saw this specifically in the aftermath of June's Festa Dinner. We had some information, but not all. +

But as ARMY does, we are careful about how we hold our speculations. We don’t want to assume, or speak over their agency; we trust their discernment.

Even as a baby ARMY in 2020, I was concerned esp abt Namjoon. I sensed a restlessness that was > pandemic frustration. +

Mystery and secrets have been a part of BTS from the beginning (secret member V!).

And there’s a big diff between withholding info, and deception. Holding back the right info for the right time, can add to the delight of a relationship. +

Still, when you care abt ppl (who've also impacted your life), you think of their future, want them to be happy.

It's one thing to not by privy to the worlds of thoughts and struggles that you see in their eyes, but it's another to not be able to ease their pain. +

Our hearts hurt when we watched them hold back tears (/not), saying all they just wanted to continue in earnestness, for longevity, but the rules of the world were frustrating that. In this season, we’ve seen Bangtan’s humanness show through in a way we hadn’t before.+

To hear in Jin's Live today that he/they
-delayed enlistment sev. times
-strongly preferred to go earlier
-heard of the hateful criticism and pressure, but never disclosed it
-didn't always agree on timing/projects

But they did find their way. What guided their decisions, was their love for ARMY. They put their plans, their lives on hold, out of love: to connect w us - fully, peacefully, w closure & kindness, without causing us undue grief.

So sometimes, they didn’t tell us everything. +

Now we know more. There’s a relief we feel from the veil being lifted, and us seeing things more clearly. We look back differently at things now, with that confirmation. That moment on the stage. Though we might have assumed, we didn’t know. +

I cried, overwhelmed by the gentle generosity of their concern. They put us first, nearly all of us strangers to them.

The grief of my own loss to feel that kind of love from certain ppl, was magnified in that moment. Sometimes we can’t see what we’re missing, till we find it.+

We’ve weathered separation from them before - the very nature of our relationship is mediated by the longing to find synergy and integration with each other. We did a f!*@^$ pandemic together.

They’ve built a career out of realistic but confident comfort to us.+

Even when we are apart, we've kept each other close. Our joy in togetherness also necessitates our distance.

I truly believe the love btwn Army and Bangtan is going to shine even more beautifully thru this season, precisely bc we'll be tested. +

ARMY. Even when we didn't know everything, we trusted. We can keep trusting as we see more - not just in Bangtan, but in what we can do. Even things we haven't done before, or even know how to imagine.

Clarity is not needed for trust. +

Let's keep faith in our mutual sincerity and earnestness - believing/assuming the best in each other; being transparent when we can; using and assuming! discernment but not deception.

ARMY and Bangtan are special. We are made out of what we believe and choose in each other.💜
