I made a life, a career out of my faith. So when I encountered @bts_bighit & BTS ARMY, you can imagine my skeptical surprise when I saw love like I had never seen embodied, before.

But part of my journey has been to see where inexplicable good exists where its unexpected. So!+ What BTS members reveal to me about Love, itself, in random order:

Taehyung: that one can actually be an apologist for love, by defending its boundaries and limits

Jungkook: that love is meant to be magnetic, can be all-consuming, but at its heart, full of delight

I was basking in the preciousness of #Jin's #TheAstronaut MV. I was laughing and blushing at j-hope & Namjoon (and ARMY) at the W Korea event. I was gearing up for the Coldplay livestream. And then I read translations of Jin’s live, and broke down. It's been on my mind all day. + It feels like it’s been a long time, that thoughts abt Bangtan, Could Not Be Discussed (or as Jin said today among the members, Voldemort). There were gaps in what we knew. We saw this specifically in the aftermath of June's Festa Dinner. One reason (among many) I think the connection between BTS and ARMY is special, is bc we nurture generative feelings in one another.

Many ARMY testify to how BTS helped us love ourselves. But we've heard that msg from others before (often in glib packaging).

But just telling someone to feel something isn't enough to manifest it. Why is BTS's messaging so differently able to let light into our lives? +
