The following thread is entirely written by Teresa, the woman who found her life-saving operation at Princess Grace Hospital had been cancelled because she requested single-sex nursing care. She asked for it to be posted this afternoon, and it contains excellent news: 1/16
I’m sending this message which I hope will travel far and wide through Nutmeg to offer my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has given me support since Princess Grace Hospital cancelled my surgery, saying “We do not share your beliefs” 2/16
This followed my refusal to engage with pronouns, and my reporting of a Patient Dignity Breach by a male with a ‘gender identity’ 3/16
My beliefs are protected by the UK Equality Act 2010, as per the judgment in the landmark appeal case of Forstater v CGD Europe (2021) 4/16
I do not believe that a person can change sex. I will not use the language of gender ideology 5/16
Legions of people, of all political persuasions and backgrounds, coalesced to launch a truly spectacular campaign on my behalf. As a direct result, @HCAHospitalsUK (owner of Princess Grace Hospital) has offered me surgery at its Wellington Hospital in London on October 31
6/16
The surgery will be with the original surgeons in attendance in a double robotic suite. I’ve also been assured of single sex nursing care and am receiving superb service from the Wellington. I have full confidence in my surgical and nursing team 7/16
I don’t know where to start to express my overwhelming gratitude to the thousands of people who fought so vigorously on my behalf. Thanks to you all, I now have the best possible chance of recovery and a full life 8/16
Thank you so much to the 17,500 people who signed the Citizen Go petition 9/16
Thank you so much to the amazing UK women’s rights activists who rushed to my aid and supported me (my allegiance to you will be lifelong) and who travelled to London to protest outside Princess Grace Hospital 10/16
Thank you so much to the thousands of people, worldwide, who wrote letters, emails and telephoned in protest. I am truly grateful to the redoubtable Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne for raising my issue with the Care Quality Commission and others 11/16
I’m not forgetting the many decent men, too, who felt a sense of outrage, because they had the imagination to realise what could happen to their mothers, sisters or daughters. Thank you 12/16
I’ve also had incredibly generous offers to crowdfund a discrimination claim. I have already opened a dialogue with HCA and stated that my primary objective is not damages or a judgment though 13/16
Instead, what I hope to achieve is a manageable variation in HCA nursing policy to centre the interests of female patients in accordance with UK standards, that is, the Regulation 10 of the CQC Fundamental Standards of Care and the Equality Act 2010 14/16
I would like to avoid litigation and give HCA the opportunity to resolve the situation in a positive and amicable way. My request is that HCA grants single-sex nursing care on request to women in all of its UK hospitals 15/16
I hope that HCA will give full consideration to my request to open negotiations on this front in the next few weeks, all rights reserved 16/16

In one of the most shocking stories you could read, a London hospital has cancelled a woman's life-saving operation at the last minute because it doesn't 'share her values'. That 'value' she had was that she wanted the aftercare nurses to be female 1/12
Former solicitor Teresa - @XXFemaleOnly
- needs urgent, rare and highly complex, colorectal surgery. She selected the private Princess Grace Hospital, which specialises in women's healthcare, for it specifically because she didn't want to be in a mixed-sex facility 2/12
A victim of sexual assaults, Teresa made it clear to the hospital how important this issue was to her, by both requesting a single-sex room and bathroom, and stating she would only answer questions on forms about her sex, not her 'gender identity' 3/12
After the revelation that 'transgender children's' charity Mermaids appointed a man who has admitted to being sexually attracted to children as its trustee, here's a thread on just a few other people Mermaids has employed or worked with recently
In 2019 Mermaids employed Jake Edwards to a communications role. Jake's online work prior to that heavily involved talking about fetishes, kink and the different sized objects Jake had inserted into his anus
In 2020 Mermaids employee Georgie Williams attended a march holding a sign saying 'trans rights or fist fights'
An investigation by The Telegraph has found that taxpayer funded 'trans children's' charity Mermaids has been discreetly sending 'potentially harmful' breast binders to 13 and 14 year old girls when they know their parents have said they cannot have them telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/09/2…
An adult posed as a child and told Mermaids that her parents would not allow her to use a chest compression device, so the charity sent the binder for free to a different address that the girl had access to behind her parents' back (2/6)
The most comprehensive study on binders to date has found that more than 97% of people who use them suffer health problems as a result (it did not look at the impact on children). Mermaids did not ask any questions about the child's underlying illnesses or mental health (3/6)
Labour MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle's policy advisor, having just sworn and shouted at a baby, then tweeted that women were throwing smoke bombs at themselves at the #LetWomenSpeak event in Brighton. She is also a journalist
Baby shouter Carly-May Kavanagh, policy advisor to Labour MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle, also abused an artist, and helped get her cancelled, again in the name of transgender activism
Conservative MP Jamie Wallis was allegedly wearing high heels and a black leather PVC mini-skirt when he fled the scene of a car crash last year. When an officer arrested him the next morning, he was still wearing makeup and red lipstick, a court has heard dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…
Jamie Wallis told the court he fled the scene because he 'feared being raped', as the married father claims he'd been raped a few days earlier by a man he met on a hook up site. He admitted he has never reported this to the police denbighshirefreepress.co.uk/news/national/…
Jamie Wallis said he was dressed in women's clothing as he feels comfortable wearing that when he's at home, and went for a late-night drive. He said he was driving slowly when he swerved to avoid a cat, although the telegraph pole he hit snapped and both airbags were activated
Here are statements from all the likely Conservative Party leadership contenders on gender identity and how it impacts on society, made before they announced their intentions to run, which hopefully accurately sums up their approach to the issue. First up, Rishi Sunak
