Hey—sorry you lost your job b/c of the vax that doesn’t work and your grandmother died alone and you couldn’t have a funeral and your brother’s business was needlessly destroyed and your kids have weird heart problems—but let’s just admit we were all wrong and call a truce, eh?
It’s too bad we shut the entire economy down & took on tyrannical powers that have never been used before in this country—looking back, you should have been able to go to church and use public parks while we let people riot in the streets—but it was a confusing time for everyone.
Hey I'm sorry we scared the hell out of you & lied for years & persecuted & censored anyone who disagreed but there was an election going on & we really wanted to beat Donald Trump so it was important to radically politicize the science even if it destroyed your children's lives.
OK, yes we said unvaccinated people should die & not get healthcare while never questioning Big Pharma once but we are compassionate people which is why even though we shut down the entire economy we also bankrupted the nation & caused inflation. You're welcome! Let's be friends.
And now they are calling for "amnesty". Next, they will shift blame to Trump.

“Before the LORD the whole universe is as a grain from a balance
 or a drop of morning dew come down upon the earth.
 But you have mercy on all, because you can do all things;
 and you overlook people's sins that they may repent.”
“For you love all things that are
 and loathe nothing that you have made;
 for what you hated, you would not have fashioned.
 And how could a thing remain, unless you willed it;
 or be preserved, had it not been called forth by you?”
But you spare all things, because they are yours,
 O LORD and lover of souls,
 for your imperishable spirit is in all things!

If you think 82yo Paul Pelosi will ultimately get in any kind of trouble, or that basic questions might be asked about this or other incidents, you’re living in delusion about the sort of regime you live in.

Will die wealthy, married to 82yo 3rd most powerful person in fed gov.
Exception is that way behind scene there is some reason for younger strivers and the woke etc to go after the Pelosi clan now that they are so old and have been in the way for so long.
You are governed by incredibly corrupt and evil octogenarians.

Looking back, one of the best signs of the descent into the primitive clown cave in my lifetime was the disgraceful bit in Good Will Hunting ridiculing scholar Bernard Bailyn while praising propagandist Howard Zinn.

Bailyn, who died two years ago, was one of the last real ones.
The difference between the two is remarkable. One guy, agree or disagree, did the work & read the words for years. The other wrote best-selling one-sided screeds. There’s no real academy left in America, despite the sputtering you’ll hear from that quarter about tweets like this.
There’s people here and there, a smattering of outlying institutions and centers, some of which are experiencing a boost as the big dogs totter and fall apart. A red state gov could commandeer a state U and make it world class with all the good people floating around the morass.

Let’s speak plainly THREAD.

There’s no way left to get around the scale of US debt now—even or especially as global hegemon—and catastrophic results are inevitable. It’s all just shuffling on titanic as we get closer to having to pay for last few grossly irresponsible decades.
For the survival of the GAE, historically speaking, establishing a real empire with actual geographic conquest would be necessary and usual next step but they don’t have the T for it and are weakening our military daily.
Two factors help mitigate the looming problem although they won’t stop the inevitable chickens coming home to roost: our competitors are weaker than anyone says and our technological advantage among others is still very real.

You need to understand: all the old bullshit framing about "social issues", the "culture war", & "religious concerns" needs to go.

The "social issues", the sexual issues?

These are all a matter of civilizational health and fitness versus civilizational decay and collapse now.
Hear what I am saying: what people call "trad", what your grandparents or great-grandparents knew as common bleeping sense, does, to be sure, correlate w/basic Christian ethics. But these are also simply the best practices for any society to be great & thrive—
w/o them you get decay, decline, and collapse. As this becomes obvious for those who unplug themselves from the matrix, increasingly anyone devoted to basic human excellence never mind greatness—anyone who cares about living in a healthy and stable society and stable civilization

Spent weekend w/good folks at @GarySiniseFound event thanks to @matthewdmarsden intro. What @GarySinise & friends do is rare these days. @KelseyGrammer & @PatriciaHeaton were great, but pointed us to the real stars (scroll down page & read their stories):

I was honored to sit next to Mark Priebe and his wife Heather. Read his story. It’s humbling to meet those who have paid such a price. garysinisefoundation.org/specially-adap…
The basic takeaway for me was how vital it is that we make clear *as a society* that we honor the entirety of courage and vigilance—the entire experience of those who have paid the price of civilization—which ultimately cannot exist unless men are willing to fight and die for it.
