Here is a thread on an important matter that I wanted to bring more attention towards, that happened to Suzune Horikita in Y2V5. Specifically I am referring to her monologue on chapter 7, when she pondered on the idea of Kikyō Kushida's expulsion. #you_zitsu#よう実#cotetwt
In this thread, I'd like to bring more attention to a specific moment that shows the massive leap, Suzune Horikita has done towards becoming an Exceptional Individual and a competent leader. In addition to, it indirectly establishing/points out, something that also applies to us.
In order to tackle what this moment pointed out or, is synonymous to our own world and its own people, I'll be asking and, answering with my own reasons, an age old question. That gets brought up time and time again to us.
In her monologue in the midst of chapter 7, we clearly see how Suzune was weighing in her mind the worth that Kikyō Kushida has. Though as Suzune clearly remarked, the worth of an individual to be weight by any numerical value from our understanding and philosophies, is difficult
To clarify, I am not saying that Suzune mentioned the philosophy part but, what I am saying is from our understanding and philosophy, someone's worth cannot be measured by any sum of money or even an object. This can add another variable that can stop someone from doing so.
Despite that, even trying to put a rough number on someone's potential labor through what they are proficient in what they can be put towards, is difficult alone.
There are an unnecessary amount of difficult and situational factors that have to be counted for and then, an equally, uncountable amount of actions possibly taken in those situations have to be, on top of that, accounted for.
Afterwards though Suzune asserts that, in her own opinion, that the expulsion of Kikyō Kushida is not worth those 100 class points. Though in this translation she did say "at least" possibly implying that, if it were more, then it would be more debatable.
However that can be taken two ways and doesn't really hold any value at the moment. What is valuable and mentionable is the weighing of Kushida's worth.
As mentioned briefly earlier, we are told and heard on numerous occasions that, one's life isn't worth a sum of money.
A singular human life is the single most valuable thing to be ever given. In fact, some might go further and say, life period, is the single most valuable thing to exist.
However in the world we are living and contributing to, it becomes very debatable whether that's even true.
Even within the ANHS they claim "Absolutely anything" can be bought for Private Points. Aside from the life of fellow students or faculty members. This part is iron clad, there's no way in negotiating this in the slightest.
Yet, ones labor and potential contribution can be weight by such means. To not forget, the potential risk one takes by employing these individuals, should also be counted for.
Everything is a transaction. They would most certainly want something in return.
Trust, respect, loyalty, money, companionship, authority, etc. all of these can be exchanged for someone's contribution or potential contribution or, even by someone giving someone else one of these things, they might demand the same/something of equal value, in return.
This fairness, would also apply to the currency, society, economy and interpersonal/external relations these students find themselves in.
Suzune, by weighing Kushida's worth not only is looking at what she can and cannot do but, is also looking at what sort of impact she has.
Kushida has an untold number of dynamics that can develop to an immeasurable amount. This is not to say that expelling her to get those 100 class points is a foolish decision. Kiyotaka Ayanokōji who wanted to originally get rid of Kushida, was gonna get rid of those.
Suzune who in her own monologue is even sort of admiring Kiyotaka Ayanokōji's abilities. She now sees the monstrous depths one considers consciously and unconsciously when one makes a decision.
If one hasn't forgotten, I was gonna ask an important question.
Does Power corrupt or reveal? An age old question that appears again and again, and remains relevant to this day. Surprisingly the majority when plagued with this question, sway in the centre. At times it's a little or extremely to one side and at times the other.
I personally agree here. Power and Authority DEMAND traits that are suitable to their own nature. Those traits are the sole things that can wield them properly and absolutely nothing else. These traits are present within everysingle individual.
The main difference is that within some it's easier for those traits to grow, or even start feeding. Meanwhile for others, those traits are so outrageously difficult to feed and then grow to the point one would think they don't even have them.
The latter individuals could possibly take 100x to even an outrageous amount of time to, even become attuned to the power and authority they wield. The former on the other hand grow sometimes to such a terrifying extent, so sharply that one would think they were just born like so
These traits sometimes are synonymous with some individuals negative qualities but, luckily, they don't always have the demand to draw upon them. So they remain virtues. However when the demand does arise, the virtues part of them cannot handle it.
Our history and even current times, have shown us that both virtues and sinful individuals can have these traits however, it is glaringly obvious that the majority are those who lean more towards negative qualities. They display the drive and the frequency to both, gain and
achieve those leadership positions with one thing usually in mind, to further their objective at all costs. They have to let go of some things that, we the common, are privileged with. But in return, they gain things they are privileged with.
Suzune Horikita has made a massive step towards one thing. To be more alike the likes of Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, Ryūen Kakeru and Arisu Sakayanagi. As mentioned before, she now has a even greater understanding of Kiyotaka Ayanokōji's abilities. Those are shared by many others too.
This doesn't mean she'll commit unsavoury acts. However with the environment she is in, on top of the responsibilities she was granted to by her fellow classmates, she honestly cannot do much else. There's a limit to what unsavoury things one must do, but you have to compete.
The reason why all these indirectly established facts are even applicable here, is because it all makes sense. These characters that are written by an Author who asks us in the very first chapter of the series, whether people are equal or not.
A question on Japanese, and by extension, our entire society. Similarities that apply to both will arrive and occur.
When one thing gets introduced, an unreasonable amount of other things are introduced by association as well.
Suzune Horikita changed irreversibly and made a clear and understandable step forward towards becoming someone truly exceptional. This was also seen again in another situation but this time, in Y2V6 but that's for another thread, for another time.
Hopefully this was enjoyable.

Here is a thread on a moment from Y2V6 that greatly shows the growth that Suzune Horikita has underwent and how everything she's been through has been slowly paying off. Though this moment doesn't solely serve to show what Suzune has been through. #you_zitsu#よう実#cotetwt
The moment I would like to focus on is the negotiation between Kekeru Ryūen/Kōhei Katsuragi and Suzune Horikita/(Kiyotaka Ayanokōji).
What I'll be specifically doing here is create a foundation for the next two threads that'll cover both Suzunes and Ryūen's developments/growth.
In Y2V6's 4th chapter the negotiation between the 4 presented individuals, directly address the current status quo that the year is currently in.
Through in-world and unspoken means the development that both Suzune and Ryūen underwent are directly addressed and made note of.
So I've been essentially cornered, in order for me to continue making threads with the freedom that I wanted, I have to talk about the classification that I have for the students based off from what Kiyotaka and other sources have said so far.
What is an exceptional individual within this school and who are they? I'll go through a couple characters briefly using them as examples while also clearing up Suzune Horikita's development thus far.
I'll categorize each character under one of these 3 categories those being: 1. Exceptional individual 2. Exceptional Student 3. Regular Student
I'll pick in total 4 examples that'll explain these categorization that I have for these characters.
Does it make sense for Kiyotaka Ayanokōji to switch classes? My opinion on this has changed greatly over the course of me waiting for Y2V6 and the release of it.
As many fans should have witnessed, there's this certain part of the Cote fanbse that want Kiyotaka to switch towards Ichinose's class, however their reasons for him to switch is mainly driven by them wanting to ship Ichinose with Kiyotaka.
I have clearly dismissed the idea of Kiyotaka switching classes, I deemed it as something unnecessary but now I see it as something that has to happen.
