Greta Thunberg used to say her goal was to protect the planet from climate change but she now admits it's to overthrow "the whole capitalist system," which she says is responsible for "imperialism, oppression, genocide.. racist, oppressive extractionism"
In fact, the "whole capitalist system" has allowed for average life expectancy of humans to rise from 30 to 70.
The "whole capitalist system" produces larger food surpluses than any other in history
The "whole capitalist system" has resulted in declining emissions thanks to the transition from coal to natural gas, and to less deforestation for agriculture. This is proof that Greta hates capitalism for reasons that have nothing whatsoever to do with climate change.
Thanks to Greta's war on natural gas, this year will be a record year for coal, globally, Europeans are burning garbage and wood to stay warm, and governments are nationalizing failing electricity consumption.
In other words, the "whole capitalist system" is responsible for declining greenhouse gas emissions while moving away from the "whole capitalist system" through the "stranding" of oil & gas, and the nationalization of energy industries is resulting in higher emissions.
Total deaths from & costs of natural disasters are going down. That means fewer extreme weather events count as "natural disasters." Why? Because of rising human development and resilience to extreme weather thanks to "the whole capitalist system."
We are producing significantly more food on less land which means there is more of the earth available for nature conservation & endangered species. The number of protected areas has increased 25x since 1962. Why? Because of rising productivity from "the whole capitalist" system.
As such, it's clear Greta doesn't care at all about climate change or the environment. If she did, she wouldn't be seeking to overthrow "the whole capitalist system," she'd be seeking its expansion to places under the oppressive yoke of feudalism.
Nothing has done more to liberate children, women, racial minorities, sexual minorities, and other oppressed groups than "the whole capitalist system." It was "the whole capitalist system" that put an end to feudalism and slavery and allowed for the prosperity Thunberg disdains.
Few things are as devastating for poor & oppressed people than a scarcity of energy & food, which is precisely what Malthusian elites like Thunberg want. She urged nations to panic. They did. The result is the worse food & energy crisis in a half-century.
What Thunberg is advocating is a Great Reset. That's why she said she doesn't want civilization to go “back to normal." The result is havoc around the world.
The calls to destroy "the whole capitalist system" are coming from the richest, most coddled, and most entitled people in the system. They project their status anxiety onto the world and demand the power to wreck it.
The selection of a child by global elites to represent their war on civilization is deeply revealing. The world is suffering energy and food shortages because of an on-going temper tantrum by the most entitled and spoiled people on the planet.
The end of Woke fanaticism is coming. We are building a pro-human movement that embraces "the whole capitalist system," which has proven to be the best way to lift people out of poverty, protect ourselves from natural disasters, and reduce pollution.
Soon, we'll look back at the energy crisis ravaging the world, and Greta's admission that her real goal is to destroy "the whole capitalist system," as the Waterloo of the climate nihilists.
Biden’s proposed “windfall profits tax” on Big Oil sounds great, but the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service found that it would have “adverse economic effects,” including higher prices, lower domestic production, and increased foreign imports.
“If imposed as an excise tax, the WPT would increase marginal production costs and be expected to reduce domestic oil production and increase the level of oil imports, which today is at nearly 60% of demand. Crude prices would not tend to increase.”
“Some have proposed an excise tax on both domestically produced and imported oil as a way … Such a broad-based WPT would tend to reduce import dependence, but it would lead to higher crude oil prices and likely to oil industry profits, potentially undermining its original goals”
Many still insist that the suspect in the Pelosi attack was driven by political ideology, but the mother of his children just confirmed he was in the grip of a psychosis caused by long-term drug use. This story is fundamentally about mental health, not political radicalization.
Defenders of the political radicalization hypothesis point to racist & pro-Trump blog posts as proof that political ideology drove him to violence, but it's now clear that the posts, which included references to fairies, were *symptoms* of psychosis, just like the attack itself.
As such, blaming the ideas expressed in David DePape's blog posts for his attack on Pelosi is the equivalent of blaming Martin Scorcese for "Taxi Driver," which John Hinkley, Jr. became obsessed with, and which he said led him to shoot Reagan in a bid for Jodie Foster's attention
You’re absolutely right but neither do the Dems. The obvious solution is to do what every civilized state does and mandate psych/addiction treatment as an alternative to jail. It’s the only thing that works. We stopped doing that bc ideologues convinced voters it was mean.
Mainstream news reporters say they're fair & balanced, but by downplaying the murder plot against Kavanaugh, hyping the one against Pelosi, and misrepresenting psychosis as fanaticism, they have demonstrated extreme levels of partisan & ideological bias.
David DePape, the suspect in an alleged plot to kill House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, wrote a series of right-wing blog posts in recent weeks. “Many of the posts were filled with screeds against Jews, Black people, Democrats, the media and transgender people,” notes @washingtonpost
“In one post, [DePape] urged Trump to choose Tulsi Gabbard, the former congresswoman from Hawaii, as his VP candidate in 2024,” reports @nytimes
“In another,” wrote @latimes, “he called ‘equity’ a leftist dog whistle ‘for the systematic oppression of white people’..."
People say, “DePape may have been psychotic but the real problem is still QAnon, etc.” Well, no. We can’t get rid of conspiracy theories but we can massively improve (not eliminate) our treatment of addiction/mental illness. If it’s not QAnon it will be something else, eg, Hoffa
One of the things I love about @GMcDee2@Twolfrecovery@sheldonbailey and others in recovery is how brutally honest, and often hilarious, they are about the disorder they overcame.
San Fransicko" is my love letter to people in recovery. Heroes, all. ❤️
And it's worth repeating: many if not most psychotic delusions that lead to violence aren't political. Recently a man in a drug-induced psychosis killed two inn-keepers. He heard the Pope say to him, “Are you going to let Bonny and Clyde do that...?"
