Our Policies Will Be Guided By Judicial Independence, Justice For All - Shettima

Vice Presidential Candidate of the APC, Distinguished Senator @KashimSM Shettima says the policies of his boss, Senator @officialABAT , will be based on judicial independence and justice for all.

The VP candidate stated this yesterday in Lagos while corroborating the plans, policies and programmes of the APC Presidential Candidate, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a Town Hall Meeting with Business Executives and the Organized Private Sector.

Shettima, said that his joint ticket with Tinubu was not promising “heaven on earth" but would rather provide hope for a better tomorrow. He emphasized that through respect for the sanctity of contract and rule of law, more foreign direct investment would be attracted to Nigeria.

“The economic growth we are targeting can only be achieved by prioritising improvements in our judicial system. Our policy shall be based on judicial independence, access to justice for all, and equality before the law," Shettima stated.

Shettima reiterrated that of all the presidential candidates, only Tinubu had a proven track record of excellence and requisite experience to lead the nation into its next phase of growth and development as is manifest in his well laid out economic blueprint.

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum on Tuesday flagged-off a scholarship scheme worth three hundred million naira in support of 300 orphans whose parents died as volunteers under the ‘Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF)’ vigilantes and hunters.

The volunteers were involved with fighting Boko Haram and ISWAP side by side with the Nigerian military and other armed forces in Borno State.

They mostly died at different security operations.
