To Counter Boko Haram Ideology, Zulum converts Arabic school to institute

@GovBorno, @ProfZulum, has announced the conversion of Mustapha Umar Elkanemi Arabic (Teachers) College in Maiduguri to a specialised institute for teaching of Arabic





and Islamic education that will aim to counter the ideology of Boko Haram.  

The governor made the announcement on Tuesday while on inspection visit to the college, preparatory to the conversion. 

The initiative is meant as a response to the threat posed by Boko Haram,

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, on Monday, distributed food palliative to 12,200 vulnerable households living in Muna,





Custom and Ngwom communities.

At least 73,200 persons will benefit as each of the 12,200 households is made up of six persons.

The palliative distribution was to ease the hardship from the removal of the fuel subsidy.
