THREAD: Thanks to @politico, we now have the 8 emails Judge Carter ordered Eastman to hand over to the 1/6 committee. And they are DAMNING. First, Eastman agrees with Cheesebro that JUSTICE THOMAS is their best bet to get a ruling to delay the 1/6 certification. 1/ 
This proves they weren’t looking for legal relief as much as they were simply looking to delay. And Georgia was a favorite target because Thomas sits atop the 11th circuit. Much the same way Donald was hoping he would delay the classified documents case. 2/
It’s important to note that Eastman was communicating with Ginni Thomas. So was Cleta Mitchell. AND Thomas was one of the justices that said they would have let the Texas lawsuit go through. 3/
Next, we learn that the congressional objectors were part of the plan to delay. Keep in mind, Cruz and MTG both pressured Loeffler to object to the Georgia electors. She ultimately did not. 4/
And remember that Rudy called Tuberville to ask them to slow down the count. Extend the debate. That worked in Eastman’s favor when he argued to pence that they already violated the electoral count act by debating more than 2 hours. So just violate it a little more. 5/
And who can forget Donald telling the acting AG Rosen to just “SAY” there’s voter fraud and he and the congressional R’s would “do the rest”. 6/
So now the plan is crystal clear. Use justice Thomas to delay. Use congressional R’s to delay. All to give state legislatures time and cover to certify fraudulent electors EVEN THOUGH trump lawyers conceded it was illegal. END/
