He lurks at every corner seeking the next victim to have sex with and then, kill. He has killed 5 in one day; 3 at No 6 Jere St, Garki, 1 at Plot 513 Durban St, and the other one at Plot 11, Aminu Kano Crescent; all in popular hotels in Abuja.
We don’t know who he is, where he is from, or what his motives are, but there is a trail of dead young women wherever he goes.
Although his face is still a mystery, his method of killing has been consistent.
Under the pretense of wanting the service of a sex worker, he lures his victims where he has sex with them and afterward chokes them with a chemical-absorbed towel.
The result is nose bleeding, unconsciousness, and eventual death.
So far, his victims have been female sex workers on the streets of Wuse 2.
Footage from De Agape Regency Hotels Ltd, in Aminu Kano Crescent, shows him walking in with a woman who will be discovered to be one of his victims. She was later found dead and naked
with used condoms by the bedside and a bleeding nose.
4 other bodies with similar injuries have been discovered in Airwave Hotel on Durban Street, and Rita Lori Hotel in Garki. However, Airwave Hotel has no security cameras, so only word of mouth from bystanders
and other witnesses confirmed the gruesome manner in which these women were killed.
At the time of writing this, a Police investigation was said to have started in the case at Airwaves Hotel. The victims from Agape and Airwaves hotels have been taken to Wuse General Hospital -
Zone 3 for medical examination and further investigation.
Sex work isn’t a profession that is accepted in this part of human society, and therefore, Sex workers have always been at the receiving end of the world's violent moral imposition.
They are victims of rape, economic extortion, verbal intimidation, sexual assault and physical manhandling. Worst still, all these atrocities go unpunished.
This killer is prowling the street freely among us looking for his next victim.
Will he be caught before he strikes again or will we have to add another poor woman to this list?
Boko haram has become a common phrase on the tongues of many but before this sect became an infamous Islamic armed insurgent seeking to overthrow the Nigerian government;
they were a group created by Mohammed Yusuf in 2002 with the ultimate aim of fighting western education.
They were met with strict resistance from the Nigerian military and in July 2009, their leader Mohammed was killed in public view by the police.
Abubakar Shekau in July 2010 through a video declared himself the group’s new leader. He received support from other jihadist organizations such as al-Qaeda and al-Shabaab to continue their insurgency in Nigeria.
