5 weeks ago, I had 21 followers.

Since then, I've had
• 19k profile visits
• DM's and follows from GOATs
• Doubled my engagement rate

How?

I discovered a secret weapon by accident.

Come closer, I don't want everyone to know about it:

🧵
You're killing it out here. Really!

So why read another clickbait thread hinting at something you're missing?

Maybe you're like me, and you crave more:
🔸Engagement
🔸Follows
🔸Link clicks

Let's be real for a sec:
Our readers know what we're writing before they read it.

I know my tweets are

• in my voice
• relatable
• in my niche

But my *style* was stale. It wasn't growing with me, and I bet yours isn't either.

Dude what does that even mean? Let me explain:
There's 3 plays on creating content, and you're probably ignoring one of them (I was!)

They are:

1️⃣ The voice you write in.

Old news. You've seen this card drawn 100 times. Write conversationally.

Umm ok yeah you're already doing this. What else?
2️⃣ Your brand pillars.

Again nothing new here.

You chose to write about

• Mindset
• Productivity
• Rabbits

a while ago.

3 pillars allow you to mix up content to reach a broader audience--while still niching down.

And honestly:
If we all stick with 1️⃣and 2️⃣, we'll keep leveling up slowly.

But we won't stand out from the crowd with our voice and content alone.

Imagine you're at a football game screaming out:

"Free T-shirts!"

But you're wearing
• black shirt
• black pants
• black hat
Now, imagine the same, except this time:

You have a

• yellow shirt
• viking hat
• megaphone

How many more people are going to hear your message?

How many more people are going to turn their heads?
We're not at a football game. But we are all playing the Twitter game.

Enter the secret weapon:
3️⃣ Creative Formatting. AKA Style.

You want more engagement? Be less predictable.

Here's what worked for me:

➡️I stepped out of bounds to create something unique.

A board game. On Twitter.

Hear me out before you go making a Scrabble thread:
I'm not a creative person.

If I thought I was, I'd be on TikTok not Twitter. What about you?

Are you right or left-brained? The answer doesn't matter because that's all BS.

There's 1 easy step to be creative whether you're a math wizard or Picasso:
Combine two unrelated things into one new idea.

That's it. And you're creative now.

Don't believe me?

It's okay. I didn't think it was true until it worked.

You could keep recycling everyone's favorite formats, the GOATs of twitter:
• 10 tools to put you to sleep.

• How to X your Y in Z days.

These will be like #hashtags in a year. Shoutout to hashtags for still existing...

But let's stop overusing them.

We can start the next trend NOW.

Let everyone else play a game of Simon Says, while we:
Take a tweet. Like an engagement post for example.

Combine it with another COMPLETELY different idea, like the board game CLUE.

Play around with it, make it fun, make it captivating. Unique.

I did exactly that, and although it didn't go viral...
It did capture the attention of a big name.

This person has been through all the

• frameworks
• templates
• hooks

and ghostwritten for half of money twitter.

They're getting bored.

When the heavy hitters tell you you're on to something, you listen. Why? Image
They're on the prowl. For new trends and fresh styles.

It's not easy saying the same thing in different ways for 2 years.

If they don't hop on new trends, they lose followers. So what?

Why should you care?
Because, it's our turn.

We're in the perfect position to be trend-setters.

I just told you how you can be creative.

Your engagement will be off the charts.

Not convinced? Try this right now:
1) Identify a goal for your tweet:

➡️ Engagement
➡️ Education
➡️ Product sales

2) Pick something random AF from:

➡️ Childhood
➡️ Pictures on your wall
➡️ Random websites

3) Think how you can use the two together in a unique way.
Let's do one real quick. Say you want to make an educational post.

You look around and see a painting on your wall.

You create a thread about what you're teaching by "painting" a picture with:

🔸Basic knowledge

🔸Depth

🔸More depth

Until you have a complete painting. Image
Ok you can tell I can't draw.

But I hope you get the picture!

Most of the ideas will sound stupid. Like the painting LOL.

But even stupid ideas like a game of Clue on a site meant for short, witty posts--well, they can work.

If I had 5,000 followers...
Or even 500 when I posted the game:

It would've been lights out.

Think about how much attention engagement posts get, like one that invites followers to share a little about themselves. Or answer a question.

Team that up with a new framework, or style... see what happens!
So, if you want to STAND OUT from everyone else in your niche:

1️⃣ Stay in your voice
2️⃣ Use your content pillars
3️⃣ Be creative with your formats

No one else is doing this. Be the trend-setter.

Game On!
Please use this weapon for good! Make Twitter less cookie-cutter.

RT the first tweet if you want to share it to your audience (or don't and keep it a secret until you create your new trends 😎)

Thanks for reading!

Most people hate physical work.

But I made $7,500 profit in 5 days nailing boards to other boards.

5 reasons to reconsider what "work" means to you:
1) Get paid to go to the gym

I work on my feet, lifting heavy sh*t and carrying it around all day. Holding tools that weigh 5-50lbs at shoulder height.

I come home physically exhausted.

I love it. I'm 36 and have worked out 7 times the past 4 months.

No dad bod here.
2) Feeling of accomplishment

The best part of working with your hands is looking back at what you did and saying: I built that!

It was a pile of material before you started, and you created something beautiful out of it.

It's like writing, but you see your results in 3D.

Going from career to creator is a grind.

You come home from work and have a short window of time to

• Spend time with your family
• Work on your side hustle

How do you balance work, work, and play?

Create a hyper-specific routine.

Here's how I use it:
Hyper-specific routines in a nutshell:

• Timeboxing in 10-30 min intervals
• 100 minutes total
• Weekday evenings after work and supper
• Not long enough to frustrate your family
• Free up your weekend for big projects and time-intensive tasks

To create one:
I start with a blank page, and make 3 columns:

1st column: Money-makers

2nd column: Community-builders

3rd column: The usual suspects

I fill these in with tasks that will get me toward my goals in each column.

Let's start with the first column:
