The average joe has severe confidence issues because he is completely unprincipled in his actions & utterly disorganized in his intra-personal value hierarchy
Once you STAND for something - and you CLEARLY know what that something is - opinions cannot shake you.
I value individual expression & potential maximization
Therefore as I act & move forward in the world with these values as my ideals - why the fuck would I care what som1 says?
I am acting according to MY principles. Could give a fuck about someone else's opinion about MY life.
The ISSUE with the average person is they STAND for nothing.
Therefore the default, auto-pilot behavior is continual validation/approval seeking from other humans
Once you form your value hierarchy - YOUR values are ABOVE other people's judgements.
Put YOU first.
I extend myself into a new, unknown venture. Awkward as FUCK at first. Obviously. I’ve never done it before. Going up from 0 - stumbling around like an idiot with every eye on me.
Weak men jab only when strong men stumble
Feel the initial burn of the words
Then catch myself.
Is this about me ACHIEVING what I want?
Or is this about me appeasing the opinion of an NPC - who’s opinion / judgements are like leaves in the wind? Fed to him by society. Here today gone 2morrow.
