📍I’ve started to receive more and more requests for advice from beginner domain investors and so I thought I’d pull together my thoughts. I’m not claiming these are definitive, fool-proof or special, but they may be useful for some. #Domains
Twitter Do:
-Check-in a couple of times a day
-Interact in a positive way
-Think about how you can add value/support.
-If you’ve nothing good to say, say nothing (just like the post)
-Be generous in your retweets
-Follow accounts you’re interested in
-Only post about domains
Twitter Don't:
-Post your names (for sale) in other peoples’ posts (unless they ask for it)
-Take things personally, everyone is trying
-Take others’ content without permission
-Just shill /advertise only your names
Buying: There's many places to buy.
-Best prices tldes.com/com
-My favs: @usesav (simple, quick, easy to auction) @Dynadot (good for after-market) @GoDaddy (scale and reach) @EpikDotCom
I used to use @Namecheap but have moved away as harder to list on after-market
Organization
Be organised from the start. @Undeveloped is helpful to track your domains, but you need to manage data (renewal, price, dates). Many just use Excel. I use excellent @domain_io but not sure if still supported. I may switch to @eftycom which gets good reviews.
Selling
Make sure you list consistently in all major marketplaces: @afternic @Sedo @Undeveloped (Dan) @GoDaddy
There are some WhatsApp groups where you can sell cheaply to other investors.
