As Tuesday approaches and I begin prepping for my volunteer duty as an Inspector at a new voting precinct, I have to be honest.
I’m also a bit nervous.
🧵
1/
I posted some earlier tweets related to how many people have signed up to do poll work. In Shasta County, for this election, it was 400 volunteers. They are from all walks of life and the # in my training workshop was 50/50 (Senior/Younger).
That’s a good sign.
2/
When we do this volunteer work, we do it because you either love doing the work, want to learn more from it or you want to be sure that the work is being done is right.
No matter the choice, it’s a long day 6AM to 10PM or later.
3/
Depending on how many volunteers get assigned to the precinct, there are lots of hours of inactivity. People come before work, lunch time and after leaving work. Be the end of the day, you’ve figured out how to the job right.
4/
You have to be kind to everyone. People are watching you (poll watchers/observers), you have to provide facts and realize that many people won’t believe your facts.
We have to ensure everyone gets their chance to vote if they can legally vote.
5/
In general, we learn a lot about how people think by what they say and act and at all times, we have to provide the best experience we can to these individuals so they can vote for whomever and whatever they want.
6/
My experience has been a good one. Challenging at times, but a good one all the same. Each person I’ve come up against has thanked us. Some yell at us. Many challenge the “fake ballots” and process. It is what it is.
7/
So this post is just to say. My day will begin at 4:30 am on Tuesday. I may post a video. It will end with someone following me to the election office to ensure I arrive, with all secured ballots, safely.
That’s what makes me nervous. Things unseen.

A 🧵about Social Security 1/ In 1974 (one year after I graduated from high school), Charles Koch founded the CATO Institute. It was a think tank of all think tanks which was focused on dismantling America’s social safety net.
In an article from The Nation in 2011, Charles Koch privately championed Social Security to Fredrich Hayek, an author he wanted to come to the U.S., so that he could speak and write for CATO. His hypocrisy was noted in this article.
But that’s a side story 2/
And he’s DOUBLING the subscription price to he doesn’t have to rely on so many users assuming that his projections are that people will pay more to stay verified. Frankly, that’s a tough scenario to predict with serious vetting.
Either that or all the stories about it are wrong
So, after two tweets today, Twitter locked my account down after calling Elon Musk an asshole.
I passed the challenge and verified I’m a HUMAN and they unlocked my account. After 8 years of tweeting, this is the first time it happened.
🧵1/
I passed an Arkrose challenge to prove I was human and not a bot. I also had to verify my phone number to prove I’m a human.
In the 48 hours that Musk has owned this business or at least is the head of Twitter, I lost 1431 followers overnight and my account got locked down.
2/
All under the guise of safety. I’m not sure I believe it, but something is happening that never has before. I’ll admit, I swear a lot, but generally only when it really means something.
Weird behaviors amiss on The Twittersphere. Beware and be careful.

This is what they call creative partnering or you can say that it took years to get this deal done, but Brookfield Asset Management has been talked about for years involving Kushner, some family ties and fuckery, all tied up in a little bow.
Just search our timelines. #LouKnew

Think of Brookfield like the loan shark you have to go to when no one else will listen
And you get what you want every time……for a price.
When Royal Dutch Shell finally split with Saudi Aramco in 2016, they took 100% control of 24 Port Arthur’s distribution terminals along with Port Arthur’s refineries. They also have the rights to sell SHELL gas to U.S. customers. 1/
So y’all who live in the states listed below are buying Saudi gas if you buy from Shell. 2/
Now this article was written in 2017. Just as Trump was claiming energy independence and stopping crude oil imports to make American Great Again while the deal was already brewing between Royal Dutch and Aramco and closed in 2017 after he took office 3/
