As @Snowden says, that's one of the most important interviews you can watch. Snepp named names (NYT, TIME, NewYorker). Now, this function is served by CNN (@NatashaBertrand), NYT (@charlie_savage), NBC (@KenDilanianNBC), etc. But it works exactly the same. This is their function.

The only thing that has changed from the clandestine and successful efforts described by Snepp of CIA to place disinformation with the nation's mainstream outlets is they're now much more brazen and open about it. CNN and NBC employs hordes of them. They publish them daily.

This is one reason so many employees of US media corporations are desperately trying to blame Elon Musk for the spread of disinformation.

Nobody - nobody - spreads disinformation more frequently and harmfully than they and their corporate employers.
