Please watch this detailed explanation from former CIA analyst Frank Snepp about how the newspapers and magazines you were taught to regard as mainstream and reliable have always eagerly served as disinformation megaphones for the CIA and the US Security State. That's still true.
As @Snowden says, that's one of the most important interviews you can watch. Snepp named names (NYT, TIME, NewYorker). Now, this function is served by CNN (@NatashaBertrand), NYT (@charlie_savage), NBC (@KenDilanianNBC), etc. But it works exactly the same. This is their function.
The only thing that has changed from the clandestine and successful efforts described by Snepp of CIA to place disinformation with the nation's mainstream outlets is they're now much more brazen and open about it. CNN and NBC employs hordes of them. They publish them daily. Image
This is one reason so many employees of US media corporations are desperately trying to blame Elon Musk for the spread of disinformation.

Nobody - nobody - spreads disinformation more frequently and harmfully than they and their corporate employers.

For years, the faith and trust Americans place in the nation's leading mainstream news outlets have been plummeting. It's at an all-time low. Like losing Democratic Party politicians, media employees blame everyone in the world for this except themselves.

axios.com/2021/01/21/med…
(And for those asking, the CIA harassed Snepp for decades for the crime of confessing the truth -- as the bipartisan DC class and US Security State do to all those who divulge their crimes and lies. It's why Assange is in prison and Snowden is in exile.)

Every election day, we hear lectures from media elites, mainstream Dem leftists and various celebrities that non-voting is only for the "privileged."

In fact, non-voters are disproportionately poorer and non-white, and say they don't vote because they believe it doesn't matter. Image
In fact, the more "privileged" someone is, the more likely they are to vote (increasingly for Dems).

The less "privileged" someone is, the more likely they are to believe there are no differences between the 2 parties.

Look at the responses to this tweet from the leftist @zei_squirrel saying they'd choose not to vote or vote Green: hordes of self-described "anarchists" and "socialists/communists" saying only privileged people don't vote Dem. The data shows the opposite:

The way liberals are trying desperately (and with futility) to find their own liberal Gab is so funny.

Except the idea of Gab was to allow all banned opinions. Liberals are angry with Twitter because it potentially will no longer ban the views of their adversaries.
Note that nothing has changed on Twitter. No rules are different. I have high levels of skepticism about whether much will change beyond a few symbolic gestures (unbanning Babylon Bee, etc.).

But just the mere possibility that Twitter may censor less is driving liberals mad.
With their industry held in contempt, the public distrusting them, and most liberal outlets failing, the only thing journalists have left is their ability to act as little clique bullies on Twitter. What they're really furious about is the possibility they'll lose this status.

Joy Reid's understanding of history really does begin in 2017. As sketchy as that understanding is, she has no idea that history existed before Trump. The ignorance is stunning. How can someone like this be on TV every night talking about politics, even to a tiny audience?
Someone please look at this and justify Joy Reid. Leave aside the fact that she got caught inventing an elaborate lie in public about a time-traveling hacker who wrote her bigoted blog posts. Just look at this:
These were the *first three paragraphs* of the nationally televised speech Jimmy Carter delivered in 1978 because Americans regarded inflation as a grave national crisis. Joy Reid thinks the GOP invented this term this year and nobody used it before.🤯

I spoke last night on Fox about a woefully under-covered story:

The EU made it *illegal* for any platform to air RT or other Russian media. Now France is demanding US platforms, such as Rumble, obey this and remove RT. Rumble refused, defending its right to air what it wants:
Here's a despotic French minister, @jnbarrot, *boasting* of how he's trying to force Rumble to remove outlets which EU has banned.

Why would a French citizen want their leaders empowered to decide what news they can and can't hear? Either way, keep that repression in the EU:
Remember the liberal view on censorship from the 1980s? "If you don't like it, turn the channel?"

If you don't like RT, you don't have to watch. Why would you want states to have the power to force sites to remove news outlets disliked by those leaders?

This to me has almost nothing to do with Paul Pelosi. The key point is this:

Americans are being conditioned -- by "journalists" of all people -- to believe it's immoral or mentally ill not to immediately and uncritically accept whatever institutions of authorities claim. WATCH:
Just as a reminder: before anyone of prominence was talking about "bio labs in Ukraine," here's what Victoria Nuland -- the neocon official in charge of Ukraine for the Biden State Dept -- said to the Senate when questioned by a very friendly Marco Rubio:

Any "journalist" should have immediately demanded answers about what Nuland meant: what bio labs in Ukraine were so dangerous they couldn't fall into Russian hands?

Instead, most did the opposite: demonized as mentally ill anyone who didn't instantly accept Pentagon denials.

Think how important this story is. France, like all EU states, *legally barred* any platform from airing RT or other Russian outlets even if those platforms with to. It's legally required to censor it.

France demanded Rumble obey, if though Rumble isn't a French company....
If Rumble obeyed France's censorship order - like Big Tech firms often do - it'd mean Americans could only access voices and views which foreign governments (EU, China, Iran, etc.) permitted to be aired. Thankfully, Rumble told France to fuck itself:

When Big Tech began censoring, liberals suddenly adopted libertarian theories to insist that private companies could do whatever they want, and it's not censorship.

But this is *pure censorship*: EU *legally banning* anyone from airing what they dislike:
