It's pretty interesting when you compare the talking points of the Republican Party about the general state of things in America with the actual statistics.
You get an entirely different impression.
There are 106 countries that have higher inflation than we have right now.
Of the 15 most populous cities in America, the number of murders actually fell in 11 of those 15 during the first 9 months of this year compared to the same period last year.
The cost of gasoline has fallen for 17 of the last 20 weeks. Later today, the latest report will come out showing what's changed over the last week.
And no, no matter how many times they repeat it over and over and over again, the Trump era was not like the golden age for the US economy. By any measure. It wasn't.
Back to crime, the other major talking point the GOP is putting out right now. Republicans running for offices such as US Senator, US Representative and Governor are promising to reduce crime if people just "Vote Republican."

If Trump doesn’t announce his 2024 Election tonight, he’ll announce tomorrow. Or next week. You know he will.
When you vote Republican in the midterms, you’re indirectly voting for Trump. You’re voting for people who will make excuses for him whatever he does.
When Trump runs for office, whatever states he loses, he will push for the people he helps get elected to try to overturn it for them. Disenfranchising their own constituents.
Most Republicans in the House did that exact thing LAST time.
Whenever Trump does something illegal, highly unethical or both, his Republican Party will protect him. They’ll turn against anyone who tries to hold him accountable, even against those who are simply doing their jobs. You know they will.
2 more voters in every precinct in Michigan,
5 more voters in every precinct in Pennsylvania,
6 more voters in every precinct in Wisconsin
Shown up to vote for Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump would not have been elected.
If only 6 more voters in every precinct in Nevada in 2012 had shown up to vote for Shelley Berkley for U.S. Senate that year, Brett Kavanaugh would not have had the votes to be confirmed to the Supreme Court in 2018.
If 3 more people in every precinct in IL in 2010
6 more people in every precinct in NV in 2012
9 more people in every precinct in PA in 2010

Trump endorsed quote a number of politicians in Arizona who ended up losing. It's not exactly like Trump was ever overwhelmingly popular in Arizona. Among his own party, yes. Among the entire state population - meh.
Trump didn't just suddenly start doing badly in Arizona's largest counties in 2020. He also did WAY worse in 2016 than Mitt Romney did in 2012.
Voter registration also went way up.
Actual human beings who register to vote. And then vote.
