Democrats will ensure that you can vote in every election; make your own reproductive choices; earn a living wage; your privacy is protected; your Social Security and Medicare is safe; mass shootings will end; healthcare and Rx drugs are affordable; we address the climate crisis.

They will work to rebalance the court; protect LGBTQ+ Americans from discrimination in schools and workplaces; restore the Voting Rights Act is to end Republicans’ decades long voter suppression campaign; codify Roe and marriage equality; ban assault weapons; end the filibuster.

The biggest difference between the two parties is that Democrats have actual policy proposals (dozens of which have already passed the House since 2019) to address the issues Americans are most concerned about. If you can think of an issue, Democrats have a bill to tackle it.

They are also the only remaining pro-democracy party. Meaning they commit to accepting the results even if they aren’t in their favor because they respect the will of the people. They also do not spread lies to undermine democracy or foment insurrections to overturn the results.

Democrats want to make things better for all Americans. They recognize the issues that are afflicting us all; inflation; higher prices for common goods like gas and groceries; soaring medical expenses; increasing uncertainty about our economic and political stability.

We are a diverse party of ideas and individuals, which is why it is often so difficult for us to form a singular message that we can all agree on that encapsulates our view: but here it is — we are the party of future generations. We want our children to inherit a better society.

We want them to inherit a planet with drinkable water, clean air, and CO2 emissions below the threshold for surpassing the point of no return for climate catastrophe by 2040. We want them to inherit an economy that works for all Americans instead of simply making the rich richer.

We want them to attend better funded schools providing higher quality education regardless of their neighborhood; giving them access to quality job training, extracurricular activities and scholarship programs instead of banned books, discrimination, and whitewashed history.

We want them to graduate not only prepared to enter the workforce or secondary education, but with the confidence that they can take time off in between if need be to gain additional skills/training, and not have to work multiple jobs while attending school to afford tuition.

We want our kids to be able to express themselves for who they are at school without worrying that they will be subject to administration-sanctioned discrimination, bullying, or discipline for having the audacity to use the bathroom they wish to use or mention their two moms/dads

We also want them to be able to obtain their education without being subjected to the trauma of daily/weekly shooting drills because we have decided as a society that we are unwilling to put their safety above our obligation to the NRA. Democrats will finally ban assault weapons.

Democrats are the party of equality & equal opportunity; we believe in such fundamentally American concepts as liberty and justice FOR ALL. We do not believe anyone is above the law and do not believe it is acceptable for judges, cops, and politicians to commit crimes w/ impunity

We will openly say the words “BLACK LIVES MATTER” because we actually believe and know that they do. We will also openly condemn Nazis and white supremacist groups, properly designate them as DOMESTIC TERRORISTS that gravely jeopardize our freedoms far more than any immigrant.

We do not rely on fear, lies, or bigotry to garner support. For example, we do not invent fake crises like “open borders!” to appeal to racists; or say things like “boys shouldn’t be competing in women’s sports!” (another non-issue) geared to increase fear among anti-trans voters

We are not so pitifully insecure and terrified for our safety that we have a pathological need to eternally misinterpret an Amendment written before the invention of the bullet as an everlasting guarantee of unfettered access to and use of all weapons of war in public.

And we believe women deserve not only equal pay for equal work and legal protections from sexual harassment, abuse, and sexist treatment, but that they are human beings who have rights to make fundamental choices about their own bodies including whether and when to have children

We’re strong on crime. That’s why we demand accountability for police who shoot/kill unarmed black men more than 10X the rate of whites. We demand a justice system that provides it for all Americans independent of race, gender, connections & social status; that means real reform.

We’re strong on secure borders. That’s why we’ve voted to improve border security in every way that actually serves to protect Americans in the U.S. and haven’t pushed fundraising scams to get people to give us money for a fund to build a needless wall that we never built.

We are committed to lowering costs for Americans and investing in our workforce, economy, and cleaner and more sustainable and prosperous future. That’s why we passed the American Rescue Plan, the Infrastructure and Jobs Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, and Lower Rx Drugs Act.

Our bills to target price gouging will continue to lower gas prices, which have fallen more than 25% over the past 20 weeks. Our investments in clean energy will not only lower costs for nonrenewables but create MILLIONS (with an M) of high paying jobs. That’s energy independence

We’re also the reason legislation was passed to protect access to contraception; to protect women’s rights to travel to other states to seek reproductive care that has been outlawed by Republicans in their own; and to guarantee the reversal of Roe’s illegal overturning on Day 1

We do this by codifying Roe (protects abortion nationally again); suspending the current rogue illegitimate Supreme Court (changing their schedule so they are immediately back on recess); then expanding it by at least 4 seats so it once again PROTECTS instead of GUTS our rights.

We’ll also begin such an opprobrius impeachment of Clarence Thomas that he will resign & disappear from public life (other than to occasionally visit his wife in prison). So instead of a 6-3 ‘conservative’ court, we will have a 5-7 liberal one. 2 more Dem senators and it happens.

We will also reform the Electoral Count Act so Republicans can never again attempt to subvert a free and fair election by granting unconstitutional powers to their VP; ensure accountability and justice for January 6th; & bar those who tried to overthrow our democracy from office.

We will also continue to protect democracy both at home and abroad; we will strengthen our democratic alliances like NATO and the EU to ensure global peace and stability; we will stand up to authoritarian regimes that attack our elections and invade our allies like Vladimir Putin

We will reverse citizens United to close the floodgate of dark money in politics; work to elect pro-democracy candidates at the local, state, and federal level; prevent red states from restricting voting access and access to reproductive and gender-affirming care.

We will implement term limits for judges, justices, and members of Congress. We will invest in affordable housing projects, drug rehabilitation, cash bail reform that reduces the obscene number of individuals who are incarcerated without ever even having been convicted of a crime

We will strengthen our economy by investing in our workforce and ensuring that all Americans have access to living wages, affordable education, and affordable healthcare and prescription drugs as well as prevent price gouging from corporations and requiring them to pay taxes.

We will improve quality of life for Americans; restore our reputation as a leader in sustainable energy and technological innovation. We will implement a pathway to citizenship for DREAMers; end Republicans’ draconian and inhumane family separation and deportation policies.

We will never allow Republicans to infringe on your constitutional rights to vote; to decide whether and when to start a family; to go out in public (to Church/synagogue, school, the movies, the grocery store, the park, a parade, club, etc.) without fear of being shot and killed.

We will increase pay for teachers, social workers, and those in the retail and service industries; we will help ensure paid time off for employees; including paid parental leave and subsidized childcare; we will ensure free school lunches and paid after school programs.

We will increase funding for mental health programs; reduce crime by addressing root causes; such as racial and socioeconomic inequality. We will improve public safety with sensible gun laws and better trained police that prioritize deescalation, saving lives, and accountability.

We will use our congressional majorities to protect civil rights and pass legislation that benefits the American people who entrusted us with the privilege to serve them. We will not abuse our power to conduct sham politically motivated investigations into private citizens.

Republicans voted against everything that matters to Americans and have pledged to take away every remaining thing that we depend on; from our fleeting privacy rights to our social security and Medicare (that we have paid into our entire lives). They have no interest in governing
