With a couple hours before some polls close @ 7 in New Hampshire, some thoughts about #NHPolitics bellwethers:
Rockingham County is always important, but this year especially so. Home to both @kleavittnh and @Maggie_Hassan. Watch western exurbs (Auburn, Chester, Derry, Sandown) for GOP strength vs. Dems from Exeter to Portsmouth.
North of Rockingham, Strafford County splits north-south. Around @UofNH, Durham to Dover is a big Democratic strength -- only question is HOW big (especially Durham, student turnout.)

But from Rochester through north, @kleavittnh and @GenDonBolduc should fare better.

A few thoughts on Election Eve: @NHGOP has not possessed the governor's office and at least half the congressional delegation since 2004.

Tomorrow is their best chance to do so since 2016, when @KellyAyotte lost by 1,000 votes and @frankguinta by 5,000.

(1/7)
@NHDems have succeeded over the last decade by winning the tight ones: @SenatorShaheen and @Maggie_Hassan in '14; @HillaryClinton, @Maggie_Hassan again, @TeamSheaPorter and @RepAnnieKuster in '16.

Tomorrow is the acid test for @NHDems ability to win close.

(2/7)
Tomorrow @NHDems face their worst electoral environment since 2014, Obama's second midterm.

Can they keep their control of the congressional delegation intact? Yes, but only if everything breaks just right.

Thread: As national Democrats consider big changes to presidential primary calendar (including NH's first-in-the-nation status), relationship between @NHSecretary Bill Gardner and state Democratic elites apparently in tatters. (1/10) Cc: @FHQ #nhpolitics
It was once a given that protecting New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary united state political elites across party lines with Gardner, a Democrat. That bipartisan alliance now in disarray, largely because of partisan battles over voting rights / voter eligibility. (2/10)
Once seen as above party, @NHSecretary now a polarizing figure. NH Democrats, unhappy w/Gardner over voter eligibility, Trump voter fraud commission, nearly ousted him three years ago. Gardner stayed in office thanks to @NHGOP legislator votes. (3/10) concordmonitor.com/Vote-for-NH-se…
