Around 1415 today, a woman approached a group of soldiers in uniform in the city center, where her bag detonated. She was killed immediately, and there are further casualties.
Speculation is that the woman didn't know she was carrying a bomb.

A woman approached soldiers (not TCC military recruiting staff) in the city center carrying a bag. Before that, she had been inside a shopping mall. She likely didn't know what was inside, but it was an explosive device. She will have to be identified by DNA.
Everyone's talking about Gaza. Lets talk about it too, but from a medical perspective.
This is for civilians stuck in the middle of what is to be a very violent time and place. Don't lump me in with Hamas.
Tldr: Improvised tourniquets, chest seals, and gauze.

The IDF will conduct an invasion of Gaza, where ~2.4 million people live at high density (6,500/km2, 16,800/mi2).
Israel and Egypt currently have the borders closed for security concerns.
Hamas certainly isn't interested in helping.
The civilians are stuck. (2/23)

Urban warfare is brutal (@SpencerGuard ). During the battle of Shujaiyya (pic) in 2014, the IDF utilized heavy volumes of artillery to end heavy Hamas resistance in Gaza city after IDF losses.
They will likely do so again- the alternative is heavy IDF causalities. (4/13)

A TQ is an emergency medical device that works to stop massive bleeding from the arms or legs, by squeezing the artery (the major blood vessel) to the bone. Effective and rapid TQ use saves lives every single day here, as the most common intervention.
Why is it important?
Arm/Leg bleeding is the most common cause of preventable death in warzones with shrapnel cutting arteries, explosions taking off limbs, and more. Effective and rapid tourniquet use saves lives every single day here, more then any other intervention.
"Our infantry is fighting flawlessly - otherwise Bakhmut would have fallen long ago"
The NGU soldier with the call sign "Krafter" is performing tasks as part of the 3rd Battalion of the Rapid Reaction Brigade "Svoboda".

Like many of his colleagues, Krafter is a volunteer who joined the ranks of the National Guard, and later the 4th RRB after February 24, when he found the full-scale Russian invasion in his hometown as he woke up to rocket attacks early in the morning down the road.

" It was no longer possible to wait, to sit. I went from my hometown to Kyiv - I just got into the car with volunteers, not knowing where exactly fate would throw me. Later I got to the "Svoboda" battalion, where I am currently serving."
