anyhow, notes on the interview:

"Johnson Amendment" politics in churches, Jenny said she didn't know … I don't remember which book I read this in, but in the 1930s, wealthy industrialists opposed "The New Deal" … paid priests to help them elect their candidates.

That was the time of "Freedom Under God" or "Liberty Under God" as a slogan … which you can imagine a priest saying in a church, and a politician saying at a rally, and the good "Christians" know how they gotta vote to get that big dono the wealthy oil baron promised. 🤷‍♀️

"Freedom" in this case referring to:
"Freedom from Taxes"
"Freedom from Regulations"
"Freedom from Unions"
etc. all the usual stuff.
now includes:
"Freedom from Climate Science"

2nd note: Jenny mentioned "The American Taliban." Correct. they *DO* want Iranian style "Morality Police." we do also call them #VanillaISIS 🤣

Jenny is a lawyer, in America, so I should try to explain this.
There is Criminal Law stuff, and Civil Law stuff.
Codified rules and "English Common Law" precedent, interpretation, etc.

ORIGINALLY, Sharia Councils looked like "12 Angry Men" doing Jury Duty.

"Muslim Common Law"

This DOES NOT match current "Sharia Law" in many countries, where it looks much more like codified specific rules, enforced by tribunals & "Morality Police."

Guess who "codified" a Common Law system, into this current horror show we see in multiple countries?
