let's look at why USD will not be replaced by BRICS and what I'm investing in 👇🧵
people think USD is the world reserve currency solely because countries use it to sell oil

this is not true..

USD became the reserve currency in 1944, the petrodollar agreement was made 30 years later in 1973
It started in 1944, countries agreed to peg their currencies to USD, which was pegged to gold at a fixed exchange rate

this made USD the world reserve currency, since other countries needed to hold USD reserves in order to maintain the value of their own currencies

I got into bitcoin to make money, but instead it led me down the deepest darkest rabbit hole imaginable

Money was once backed by gold and governments relied on taxes to operate

your success equaled their success

they had to be disciplined and smart with your tax dollars

otherwise people could stop paying taxes and the government would go out of business
but then something happened..

governments took everyone's gold by force and created paper money backed by nothing

now they could print endlessly

this is a hidden tax that people can not opt out of (inflation)

The US is almost certainty headed into a recession

but #bitcoin has never been through one

here's how I think it will perform 👇🧵
A yield curve inversion has happened EVERY time before a recession, since 1950

Some examples:
1980 - unemployment went to 10%
2000 - dot com bubble blowup
2008 - housing crisis

Now we're seeing the biggest inversion curve in 40 years
A yield curve inversion happens when bonds pay higher interest in the short term than the long term

this makes it very difficult for people to borrow money from banks

which leads to less spending, a slower economy and historically... a recession
