It is undisputed that Trump got DeSantis elected in 2018:
The 2018 Florida GOP Primary was between DeSantis and Adam Putnam. Putnam was heavily favored having been elected twice to statewide office.
As of December, 2017, Putnam had raised $20 million with approximately $15 million on hand. In December, 2017, DeSantis flew with Gaetz on Air Force One to campaign for Roy Moore when Trump told DeSantis he would support him.
On December 22 , 2017, Trump tweeted support for Ron DeSantis. At the time DeSantis’s political committee had raised $2.1 million compared to Putnam's $20 million. In mid-June, 2018, polls showed Putnam ahead of DeSantis by 15 points.
On June 22, 2018, Trump tweeted the following about DeSantis: “He will be a Great Governor & has my full endorsement.”Within a couple weeks, DeSantis was polling ahead of Putnam by average of 11 points.
Through August 10, 2018 Putnam had raised $38.8 million to DeSantis’s $17.9 million and spent $21.9 million to $10.5 million.
DeSantis beat Putnam by 20 points.
Prior to losing Putnam told supporters DeSantis was “someone who’s more interested in whatever the open higher office is at that moment that in making a difference in that office itself.”
DeSantis abandoned his job as Florida governor to travel all over country to campaign for Laxalt (NV), Mastriano (PA), Zeldin (NY) and Michels (WI). All four lost
Now that Trump has brought Scott and DeSantis’s narrow victories in 2018 back in news here is string from Rick Scott’s tirade as he fought to stop vote count that year.
In 2018, Rick Scott defeated Bill Nelson by 10,033 votes & DeSantis defeated Andrew Gillum by 32,463 votes. Trump said tonight that he sent in the FBI and US Attorneys to ensure their victory. This seems like a case that Florida's election police should immediately investigate.
I will be filing a complaint with the Florida Elections Integrity Office. According to their website, "Governor DeSantis, Florida's Secretary of State Cord Byrd and the Florida Department of State have made elections integrity a top priority." dos.myflorida.com/elections/inte…
