In 2012, #RevWarnock wrote this about MLK in an introduction.

No one in American history has addressed more eloquently or advanced more effectively the ideals of freedom, justice, and equality than the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
With his voice, he discredited the fallacious doctrine of white supremacy; and through his activism, he changed America, liberating the sons and daughters of “former slaves” and “former slave owners” for the possibility of what he called “the beloved community.”
Dr. King bequeathed to all of us a gift of love.

His epoch-making impact on law, public discourse, and culture is all the more stunning when one considers that he was a private citizen who never ran for public office and never held any official role within government.
Yet because his legacy and impact were greater than that of most presidents, King is rightly regarded as a modern father of the nation and his memorial now sits appropriately on the national mall. Hailed during his lifetime as a civil rights leader and honored in death with a
memorial befitting a president. We need love in action. The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s gift of love, embodied in word and in deed, points the way.

Let me clear about this. People like MTG and many Republicans ARE NOT CHRISTIANS. They are manipulator’s of power. They are what is termed “cultural Christians.” It has nothing to do with Jesus or his teachings. 93% of Germans were Christian in the 1930’s and allowed the evil of
Hitler and the Nazi’s to gain power. It was “cultural Christianity” not “Christianity” that allowed Hitler to rise to power. However if you want a more recent example, there is no better example than Rwanda. Cultural Christianity is when theology is held captive by politics
rather than politics being informed and even transformed by theology.
One million total Rwandans were killed, including more than 800,000 minority Tutsis at the hands of extremist Hutus. The reasons are complex. It involves decades of painful history, dehumanization, dangerous

Freedom of opinion and expression are, indeed, cornerstones of human rights and pillars of free and democratic societies. These freedoms support other fundamental rights, such as to peaceful assembly, to participate in public affairs, and to freedom of and from religion.
However, freedom of speech should prevent harm and ensure equality or the public participation of all. Freedom of speech should not discriminate, incite hostility or violence. When speech incites harm and violence, this is a criminal offence and is classed as “hate speech” not
“free speech.” If your words cause harm and damage, if they cause people to commit violence against ban other human being. That is hate speech. If your words attack fellow humans based on race, gender, religion or sexuality, that is hate speech, not free speech. Free speech does

China was not communist.
It was totalitarian.
Today, China is not communist. It is authoritarian.
The Soviet Union was not communist. It was totalitarian.
Even today, when communism is taught it schools. It is so wrong that it is actually downright lies. Communism was a classless, stateless and moneyless society. The Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Laos. None of these states ticked any of these boxes. Ever.
What these states were was as Fredrick Engels predicted, a new type of capitalism which he called “state capitalism.”
State Capitalism is defined as an economy where the basic operations of capitalism (centralized management, profit-oriented enterprises, wage labor, capital

Unfortunately today, there are still Black slaves in America. It is a mental slavery. Their minds are captive by white supremacy. It is a colonization of the mind. Colonization distorts how one sees themselves. Negative thoughts, systems, beliefs, and behaviors that have been
injected into the psyche of individuals over the past century are what needs to be uninstalled, as it’s left many Black Christians in the midst of an identity crisis.” Colonization is deeply psychological, it changes our memories, our language, our judgment, social behaviors,
The result of colonization is how one sees themselves in the world around them and what they have been told “I am not good enough, Blackness is not good.” So they start align themselves with their oppressors. White is success. White is good. White is supreme. It’s a sort of

Human beings, as far as I can tell, seem to be divided into two subspecies—the resigned, who live in quiet desperation, and the exhausted, who exist in restless agitation. The quiet and resigned believe that our time on this Earth is random, a roll of cosmic dice, completely
beyond our control. You know these folks when you hear them; their sighs speak volumes. The rest of us, the restless agitators, sense that there’s got to be Something More to why we’re here, something other than discovering what money, love, and sex have to do with the
Meaning of Life. We grow our own organic vegetables, take our vitamins, drink mineral water, meditate, start study groups. We work out five days a week, treat ourselves to low-fat sorbet the other two, and then wonder why we’re perpetually cranky. So what’s the rest of it? we

I think I have always been quite vocal of my non religious life. At the same time I am an avid reader and researcher. What I am really tired of though is Christian antisemitic ignorance. The reason being is that to be a Christian and to understand the gospels
requires a knowledge of Jewish culture, Jewish symbols, Jewish icons and the tradition of Jewish storytelling. It requires an understanding of what the Jews called “midrash.” Only those people who were completely unaware of these things could ever have come to think that the
gospels were meant to be read literally. The birth of Jesus is still literally believed by many, even though this is seen as just a story. Stars do not announce a human birth. Wise men do not follow a star that moves so slowly through the sky that these magi can keep up with it.
