"Appeared in the 80s, the PRO10 category (also called
"Group C") is one of the oldest electric radio-controlled disciplines.
Top category on the track of the 90s, it then brought together thousands followers on the continent. A coveted title of National Champion was awarded every year to the fastest driver of the season.
At that time, the national ranking offered the elite of the discipline the possibility of participating in international events (World and European Championships).
At the end of the 1990s, a new category emerged: the Touring Car.
Based on 1/10 all-terrain chassis, these models offer realistic bodywork and road handling close to touring vehicles.
Driven by RC car manufacturers and a certain desire for novelty by practitioners, this discipline is gaining ground to the detriment of the PRO 10.
In the early 2000s, the PRO 10 disappeared from championships and gradually from store shelves.
For 3 to 4 years, the phenomenon has been reversed and the PRO 10 discipline is experiencing a revival: several manufacturers of scale models are again offering chassis, races are being organized across Europe, pilots are abandoning Touring to return to less expensive chassis,
easier to maintain and adjust. Thus, a championship is organized in particular in Germany, Spain, Switzerland...
In France, a community is being created and has 1,300 members and enthusiasts on Facebook. The PRO10 SERIES gathering is organized with dozens of participants.
Every weekend, practitioners train in their respective clubs and share their exploits on social networks. Races are organized, often in demonstration during the regional rounds.
Faced with the rebirth of the category and in consultation with many pilots, we have taken the decision to organize the
2023 EUROPEAN CUP
PRO 10
Pilot friends, save the date and share on the networks. it is time to restore our category to its former glory."
