Success nearly destroyed my business.

We had just gotten a ton of wins.

But impending doom was right around the corner...
Back when I was building Gymlaunch—

We saw a ton of success in the early days.

But that success nearly destroyed us.
After so many wins...

Our team was getting complacent.

And even worse, they were getting soft.

This was a massive problem.
If shit hit the fan—

They'd crumble under pressure.

We had to revamp our entire culture.
So we started pursuing discomfort.

We worked harder.

We worked longer.

We faced problems head-on.

This turned our team into stone-cold killers.

And made us unstoppable.
If times got hard, we got harder.

When obstacles came up, we blew through them.

As a team, we worked our asses off to be the best.

This gave us an unfair advantage.

And led to us building a $50M/yr biz.
TLDR: How to practically guarantee your biz wins

Build a culture that seeks out discomfort.

And empower your team to be gritty.

I used to be depressed.

No matter how good things were going...

I was always left disappointed.

Then I had one realization that flipped the script

Here's what it was, and how it saved my life:

(my brutally honest story)
No matter how good my business or marriage was going...

I used to wake up feeling:

- Stressed
- Anxious
- Overwhelmed
On paper, my life looked amazing.

But for some reason, every day when I woke up—

I felt terrible.

I don't finish my to-do list every day.

Ironically, that strange habit has made me millions.

Here's why:
Most people fixate on being perfect—

And completing everything on time.

But I've realized by doing that...

We're setting ourselves up for failure.

Because we're expecting perfection.
The reality is...

Unexpected things will pop up.

Some days, we won't be able to finish our tasks.

That's normal and to be expected.

So instead of beating ourselves up—

We need to expand the time horizon.

Business scaling 101:

A short guide on how to build a $10M+ biz.

(from someone who's actually done it)

🧵
Most businesses fail for this reason:

They put all their attention into acquiring customers.

On paper, this makes sense.

More customers = more money.

But it couldn't be further from the truth.
For instance, let's say you close 10 customers per month.

This sounds great.

But if none of those customers are repeat buyers—

You're never going to scale.

To fix this:

Ten years ago, I was a total fuck up.

I was fat.

I was arrested six times.

And I was dead broke.

Today, I run a $200M/yr business.

This is the story of how I turned my life around👇 Image
To preface...

I started from nothing.

- No experience
- No money
- No connections

There are no silver bullets.

Instead, it takes thousands of lead bullets to win.

I worked my ass off to find & use those lead bullets.

If I was able to do it, you can too.
My early twenties were a mess.

I was throwing my life away.

Until one day, I woke up—

And realized I was heading down a dangerous path.

If I didn't make some serious changes...

I was going to find an early grave.

Every year, 5M new businesses are created in the US.

But most of them will never make it past $3-10M/yr.

Here's an effortless way to become the exception (instant bookmark) 👇
When I started my software company, Alan—

I became obsessed with studying other SaaS businesses.

That's when I discovered something interesting...
Contrary to my previous beliefs, the biggest brands didn't have:

- The best marketing
- The best sales teams
- The best product market fit

Instead...

The biggest brands did one thing exceptionally well:

RETAIN CUSTOMERS.

If you struggle with procrastination, this may help 👇

(advice from a multimillionaire entrepreneur)
Most people don't procrastinate because something's hard.

Most people procrastinate because:

They don't want to feel a certain way.
Example: You feel anxious about what will happen.

And you're afraid of:

- It being too hard
- Publicly failing
- Letting yourself down
- Not enjoying it
- Not getting it done fast enough
- Not being able to do things you like
