Society has historically killed women, but we are also failing our boys, always have been. Something is terribly dire now. We are making monsters of our boys. They are being pulled into the deep dark end, we really need to step up and check this, and stem this.

So much violence is not normal. And there is too much of it around us now. We really need to pause and listen and course correct. This is not how relationships, community, society and civilisation advance. We need to teach better, we need to listen better, we need not kill.

Our systems need counselling, need education, which addresses critical issues in cognisance of our present social, political, historical, economic realities - on an urgent level. Children need to be taught in feminist ways about gender, caste, class, religion, all our differences

We need the social studies in the schools like yesterday. We need psychology and psychiatry at arms length. We need the children to be protected and nurtured. We need to be listened and spoken to. I cannot stress this enough, and in gentler ways. This is critical. Survival.

As the present emergencies are being attended to, Simultaneously, we need to build a dialogue with the future. We need to bring back focus on the so called mundane. We need to bring back focus on issues that affect our realities but have been gaslighted about -

the climate, livelihoods, and health. We need to fiercely take back the power from grandiose. I want to say it’s this fascist State’s doing - when all our energy has been sucked out and strapped onto creating supplies of polarities serving the state’s agenda, when lies, deceit,

and impunity has been so normalised that it has made us numb, who’s got any brain cells left to think, be rational, or resist. But we really need to cut their supply, and save our souls. All that this fricking nation has been talking and doing for 7 years is building temples,

in all of this we have not only failed our children (collectively) but have come so far away from even being persons with a conscience. We need help, and help is out there. We need to mobilise and rescue each other. We are ceasing to be humans by remaining this way.

I wish I could build a series of resources to understand intimate partner violence, abuse, and trauma through a sociological and psychological perspective and what to do. I will scan through PLD’s website to look for social-legal resources and share.

You have taken funding from the Humanities and social sciences, you have terminated our courses, you have closed our campus, you have killed a whole thriving community and stolen our spaces which more often than not were safe spaces. You have isolated us all, thre is nowhere 2 go

We had turned to strangers on the internet because the people around us has systemically failed us - parents, schools, community. But the desire was never to remain in that realm. We came back to physical spaces, challenge structures and change realities around us, knowing that

there was an alternative comfort space for us. You have colonised the Internet, stripped away comfort, and changed the physical structures so pervasively, that there fundamental purpose has changed. Arrested if we outrage, trapped if we don’t.
