Donald is “running for POTUS again.” Hilarious. Here are all the reasons he will never be President again no matter what he says or does:
1.) He is under a dozen investigations for crimes ranging from espionage to seditious conspiracy to defraud the U.S. and is going to prison
2.) He committed treason, sedition, and incited a deadly insurrection against the United States of America, making him ineligible and permanently disqualified from any public or elected office in America. [This *will* keep his name off the ballot in at least half the states].
3.) He lost in 2016 by 3 million votes. Lost the GOP the House in 2018, lost them the Presidency (by 9 million votes) and the senate in 2020 and lost them the senate (again) and prevented their red wave in 2022. Even Rupert Murdoch said he won’t back another run of his for the WH
4.) He’s no longer useful to the Republican Party. They’ve completed their transformation into a cult of neo-fascist conspiracy theorists who incite political violence, engage in domestic terrorism, and empower and colloborate with white supremacist groups like the Proud Boys.
5.) His ‘campaign’ (in whatever meager forms it takes before he’s indicted, prosecuted, convicted, sentenced, and imprisoned) only serves to drive a wedge between the GOP’s base, which they have already begun to desperately attempt to rebrand themselves under a new false prophet
6.) He can’t win no matter what. The United States has never unequivocally rejected anyone as emphatically as it has Donald Trump and every person who bears relation to him or shares his last name with the only possible exception of Mary.
7.) He’s “running” for all the same reasons: attention (it’s KILLED HIM every moment he hasn’t been the center of it for the past 2 years); deflection from his endless crimes/scandals/lawsuits; and his ultimate goal of reacquiring the immunity from prosecution that POTUS provides
8.) He’s a 76 year old malignantly narcissistic morbidly obese drug addicted dementia-ridden abomination who doesn’t believe in exercise. Everyone around him knows he was never fit for office before. Now it’s just a fever dream. Never happening in a million years.
The bottom line is: No, Donald, America will never ‘reelect’ you POTUS. And you are going to spend the rest of your miserable life in prison for your lifetime of crimes that include the most egregious acts of treason and sedition that anyone has ever perpetrated against the U.S.
But to the extent that you are able to drive a wedge between the GOP, I say go nuts. Go out in a blaze of glory and take the entire party down with you. There could be no more fitting end to this regrettable chapter of our history.
When even @IvankaTrump isn’t on board with your #TrumpAnnouncement, it’s time to face reality. Clearly she knows there’s not even any money in it for her or Jared this time around.
Oh and there were no accomplishments of his administration, nepotism Barbie. Just crimes, disgraces, embarrassments, impeachable offenses, abuses of power, abrogations of oath, and violations of the U.S. constitution. And a reminder of who @IvankaTrump is:
He’s doing this to keep the grift going. Not because he has any chance in the universe of being POTUS again. It’s about grifting all he can for as long as he can. That’s all. That and avoiding prosecution, which he can no longer do now that he’s not POTUS.

Federal judge blocks DeSantis’ “Stop W.O.K.E. Act”—which prohibited instructors from expressing views about racism, sexism, and discrimination. “This is positively dystopian,” he wrote. “If liberty means anything, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”
After recapping the plaintiffs’ argument—that the law is unconstitutional under the 1st and 14th Amendments—Judge Walker states: “It serves to permit ‘discussion’ of the specified concepts, so long as that does not stray from the State’s viewpoint or those that the State allows.”
The judge also invokes George Orwell in his ruling: “It is not lost on this Court that Mr. Orwell, in the original preface to his iconic political satire of the rise of Joseph Stalin, Animal Farm, was responding to the ‘liberal elites’ of his time.”
So let’s go down this garbage ‘To Do’ list that the @GOP “vowed to do if they retook the House.”
1. Investigate Hunter Biden & President Joe Biden
—Hunter Biden is a private citizen whose actions are not controlled by his father; his deals broke no laws and this will go nowhere
2. Impeach President Biden
You need what’s called impeachable offenses or “high crimes and misdemeanors” to impeach a President. Biden hasn’t committed any. And even if they just force through a bogus partisan impeachment vote, they don’t have the senate votes to remove Biden.
3. Impeach Vice President Kamala Harris
Again, she’s committed no impeachable offenses and they don’t have the votes to remove her.
4. Impeach AG Merrick Garland
No offenses have been committed by the Attorney General and they don’t have the votes to remove him.
Now that it looks like Republicans are almost certainly going to take back the House, I see people declaring democracy dead already. To those despairing, I hear you. However, there are a few things to keep in mind to avoid becoming inconsolable and defeatist over this (THREAD).
First, you have to consider what an incredible midterm election this was for Democrats, who were projected to lose both chambers of Congress decisively on election night. Not only did this *not* happen, we *held* the senate and could (and I believe, will) still GAIN a seat in GA.
Second, there is a monumental difference in the power of a House majority party that has 235+ seats and one that just barely has a majority, which is what the @GOP will have. This is because all it takes is one or two defectors from their lunatic party to sink their initiatives.
MAGA are gathering outside Trump Tower in Manhattan chanting “USA!” while stomping on a DeSantis campaign poster, saying “Trump or death!” and telling Nancy Pelosi “There’s no ice cream in hell” before accusing her husband of being a “cruiser.” Not a cult, though. Absolutely not.
To be clear, I said nothing about the # of people. You can see for yourself it is not many. And as a former resident of NY who spent most of my life there and attended graduate school in NYC, I can tell you that New Yorkers (Manhattan especially) overwhelmingly DESPISE Trump.
This seems to be whatever pitifully small fraction of his cult remains in NYC that appears to be congregating in anticipation of his upcoming “major announcement” that he’s set to deliver this evening at Mar-a-Lago. Unless it’s that he’s leaving the country, I’m not interested.
National Archives just released a report showing that Trump wasn’t just profiting off the Presidency, he was selling favor to the nations willing to be the highest bidders at his hotels—paying up to $10K/night—which included Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Turkey, and China.
It was all a grift. Every single part of it.
This sentence is installment infinity of why I call Republicans traitors: “Well-connected Republican lobbyists working on behalf of these countries, some operating illegally without registering as foreign agents, spent tens of thousands of dollars more at the Trump Hotel.”
He paid $44 billion for twitter a week ago. It’s currently worth $8 billion. Damn, what a savvy businessman.
For all the Elon stans this tweet has frothing at the mouth, I have bad news: Elon doesn’t care about you. Or about freedom of speech. He cares about himself and validation to compensate for being a failure of a human who inherited his money and made the rest defrauding investors
I love the angry Elon stans screaming “You’re just mad that there’s freedom of speech on here now!” For the billionth time, Elon hasn’t changed anything re: content moderation and which one of us is mad about someone else exercising their freedom of speech? I don’t think it’s me.
