from B&W era to OTT,an inspiration across the world. The person who lobbied hard for Satyajit Ray’s Global recognition when Ray was bed ridden .Happy Birthday to the ace & versatile Director #MartinScorsese
For Martin Scorsese Ray's Apu trilogy was an eye-opener ,he has said that before ‘Apu Trilogy’ Indian films were seen through a 'purely colonial perspective'. Ray's cinema was poetic, immediate, sweeping and intimate.
Martin Scorsese formed a Film Foundation, in 1990 with Woody Allen, Francis Ford Coppola, Stanley Kubrick, George Lucas, Sydney Pollack, Robert Redford & Steven Spielberg. Since then, more than 800 films from around the world were restored

How Vinayak Savarkar became Self Certified “Veer” is an amusing story of Megalomania,Narcissism & a carefully crafted fakery
Writing under the pen name of 'Chitragupta’,a book was written titled ‘Life of Barrister Savarkar’.In this book, the author called Savarkar as 'Veer'.
When the 2nd edition of the book was released in 1987 by the Veer Savarkar Prakashan, the official publisher of Savarkar’s writings,Ravindra Ramdas revealed in its preface on Feb 1986 that “Chitragupta is none other than Veer Savarkar”.
Thus Savarkar described Savarkar as “Veer”

Geographies, just like people, are born with a fortune. Perhaps no culture & geography in the world is there, who became tragic victims of a crude British administrative & accounting permutation
In 1874 Assam province was carved out from Bengal presidency with Shillong as its capital. Sylhet, though dominated by Bengali-speaking people, was merged with Assam.
