Like a lot of the Android team yesterday, I resigned from @Twitter π«‘π
Personally, Iβm going to take a break and work out I want to do next.
I just want to say thank you to all of the tweeps who made my time so great. #LoveWhereYouWorked
Short 𧡠/1
My team shipped #JetpackCompose and all of our internal supporting infra internally, supporting a bunch of teams, enabling them to move soooo much faster. We fully built out our design system as part of this too. /2
We (and I mean mostly @_sierraobryan here) were this close to shipping the Compose re-write of a core piece of UI which is used *everywhere*, but alas it now lives in unshipped experimentation purgatory. /3
We built out all of the infra for screenshot testing (using @CashApp's Paparazzi), enabling us to achieve near 100% test coverage of our core UI components.
This was also being used by various feature teams and we were hoping to roll it out further. /4
We (and I entirely mean @mrmans0n) worked tirelessly on our internal MVI framework, powering 99% (guess) of the Android app. It had recently been migrated to Coroutines and was close to open source release π’ /5
This was a personal itch, but we were soooo close to shipping bottom sheets which displayed behind the navigation bar, and used elevation overlays. I even got to use Insetter again. /6
