This was the first role where I felt empowered as a BLACK Woman Engineering LEADER.
And it was fuckin great.
I loved this place.
I loved this job.
I will always LOVE this team.
Twitter was a dream job for me.
It was a job I almost didn’t apply for because I thought it was out of reach.
“Whose going to push code for the Black Woman whose never worked in tech as big as THIS before?”
But no…
Biz Foundations showed up in true #OneTeam fashion. And we built greatness. We built something that everyone thought we couldn’t build, in less time than they thought we could build it.

Clarity: Twitter would have been OK with tactical changes. He wants attention, so he created a spectacle of firing, and generated chaos to test limits. Bootlicking at 1am “to fix it”? Ha. He’ll cut wages when he needs more attention, and Chapter 11 after leveraging the user data.
The ultra-rich get bored easily. When you have everything and can pay for anything, the excitement wanes. They have to continue to stretch and test boundaries to get their excitement. And when you can’t stretch and test boundaries, you manufacture your own excitement for fun.
He doesn’t care about anyone but himself. “Free speech” was a cute A/B test.
