1. Singapore expressed through Dr Ng, our concerns on geopolitical developments with China.

2. Dr Ng is reassured that China recognise tt their relationship with the U.S.,“is paramount for stability, and will work towards improving ties.”
3. Having recovered from the HK Terrex hiccup, the SAF & PLA now have excellent ties — but these ties start from a low base.

4. Ex Cooperation 2019, was a NEO mission training for the armies — to rescue civilians from a conflict zone.
5. No matter how much the Chinese & Singaporean ministers talk up about PLA-SAF exercises in 2023, these exercises cannot match the depth & breath of military-to-military relations btw Australia & Singapore, or even tt of Indonesia & Singapore, on a bilateral level.
6. Singapore’s military is the only one within ASEAN tt is able to truly operate at a coalition, multi-domain level, with American & Australian troops; hence the invite to Indonesia to take part in #SuperGarudaShield.
7. To further bilateral military cooperation, USARPAC & the Singapore Army held bilateral talks in Hawaii, 15 -16 Nov 2022. The staff talks provided an opportunity for USARPAC & Singapore’s senior leaders to collaborate on near-term & future exercises & engagements.
8. Concurrently, US Army TRADOC visited Singapore, for their 10th Annual Talks with the SAF. I am grateful tt the Americans have been so generous in sharing & I hope they like Singapore’s push-up measuring machines — for count/no count with proper form.
9. As part of the US Army visit, they toured the battle inoculation course (which is part of Singapore’s 9 week BMT) to understand how civilians are converted to soldiers at BMTC which comprises 5 schools organised into 3 camps, in Pulau Tekong & Kranji Camp.

1. Singaporean Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen met Chinese Minister of National Defense Gen. Wei Fenghe in Xi’an, China on 18 Nov 2022 (Fri) where they reaffirmed the long-standing, warm & friendly bilateral defence relations — this is a working visit at Gen. Wei’s invitation Image
2. Both Ministers expressed their commitment to strengthen defence cooperation as agreed upon under the enhanced ADESC signed in Oct 2019.

3. They agreed to resume the bilateral Ex Cooperation & Ex Maritime Cooperation in 2023. ImageImageImage
4. Ministers also furthered cooperation in military education & academic exchanges such as study visits & Track 1.5 dialogues.

5. This Defence Ministers meet up is in furtherance of the warm bilateral relations PM Lee & President Xi’s spoke of in the meeting on 17 Nov 2022.

1. There was initial support for President Tsai until Natsec Twitter pointed out tt the dysfunctional MND & ROC Army is in dire need of reform & resourcing to defend Taiwan’s 14 invasion sectors.

2. Support for Tsai devolved into an echo chamber, instead of proper prep.
3. Certainly, one can talk abt ADM (rtd) Davidson window in 2027, as if Tsai’s Taiwan does not have agency. But choosing not to conduct reform of Taiwan’s MND or do civil defence prep, Tsai & her DPP supporters staying complacent — ensuring tt they are a big part of the problem.
4. If only Americans can read what pro-Tsai supporters say in their echo chamber.

5. DPP’s echo chamber’s read on the war in Ukraine is frankly nuts. They refuse to think abt reforming the dys-functional ROC Army & this level civil complacency is a root cause of the problem.

Playing airsoft is not the same as having urban warfare training — this is not actual military training in Taiwan.

This is also not civil defence — Taiwan does not invest in bomb shelter doors or generators, for their underground shelters. Please stop posting fakes.
In actual urban warfare training, there are supporting armed services & enablers, which include:

(a) ISR (drone feeds) for intel;
(b) over-watch (sniper support);
(c) fire support (mortars);
(d) armour to protect troops;
(e) EOD (to clear IEDs);
(f) NVGs;
(h) triage areas; &
(g) video playback for AAR,

to support the door kickers.

The TTPs in your video — are also wrong. The guy is standing back to the 2nd door. Enemy are known to shoot through doors of uncleared rooms.

Don’t be proud of using the wrong tactics.

President Joe Biden on a call with President Andrzej Duda, with regard to a missile landing in Poland, killing 2.

It is not yet sunrise & Biden is in Bali, for the G20 summit. He is on the call with Jake Sullivan, NSA & Secretary Antony Blinken.
Worth noting tt officials from Poland are choosing their words carefully on the origin of the missiles. This is the responsible thing to do pending verification (only after bomb damage assessment is done).

There is no fear tt misinformation & hate speech proliferate — I can see in real time, the massive increase in hate speech in numerous Twits.

Elon is enabling the right wing MAGA nut cases to takeover Twitter by claiming ‘freedom of speech’; but will ban an obvious parody.
Finally, Twitter explains how it is managing the surge in acs using slurs. They do ban some acs but their focus is on reducing impressions.
