Last week, Dems defied expectations in the midterms and this week celebrated the one-year anniversary of @JoeBiden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

But the GOP is in disarray after millions of Americans rejected MAGA candidates and their extreme agenda. #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵
This week, I spoke with radio stations in WI, PA & CT about how Dems defied expectations in the midterms — and Republicans are racing to out-MAGA each other in the lead up to their presidential primary.

Thanks for having me, Keith Parris & @bshactman!
President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is already making a difference. In the first year alone, Washington State has already getting funding that will mean new, safer roads and bridges, increased access to public transit and more!

#BipartisanInfrastructureLaw is helping communities all across the country — including in Pennsylvania, where @JoeBiden’s funding will help modernize airports and get more folks access to affordable, reliable, high-speed internet.

Meanwhile in Michigan, the GOP is having a complete meltdown and pointing fingers at failed MAGA gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon and Donald Trump.

The entire extreme GOP is in disarray, from Congress to Colorado — where Republicans are calling their midterm performance an “extinction level event.” Yikes!!

While Dems continue to deliver real results, the GOP is kicking off a race for their MAGA base and the 2024 nomination. That’s the difference between the party that delivers for working folks and the extreme MAGA GOP.

🧵20 years ago, I went to the Hill as a young staffer & since that time @SpeakerPelosi has always been our Leader. In her time as Speaker, Pelosi has been a tremendous force for good. She has been one of the most effective, consequential & powerful Speakers in our history. Image
Under her leadership, we avoided a collapse of the American economy in '08 and secured the passage of landmark laws like the ACA, American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, & the Inflation Reduction Act. She accomplished all of this while unifying a very diverse caucus.
Speaker Pelosi's political instincts and fundraising prowess are unparalleled. In total, she has raised over $1.25B for Democrats & this cycle alone she raised $276M & attended over 400 events. There is no one who can match her ability to win & fight "for the children."

Thanks to @POTUS, American manufacturing is back.

If Republicans who voted against the CHIPS & Science Act, Inflation Reduction Act, & Bipartisan Infrastructure Law got their way, our manufacturing boom would've never happened.

Here are the new jobs they voted against: 👇🏿🧵
IBM is investing $20 billion in new chip manufacturing facilities in New York after Democrats passed the CHIPS and Science Act:

Micron is investing up to $100 billion over the next two decades in semiconductor chip facilities in New York:

Expanding access to reproductive care. Boosting the country’s semiconductor industry.

President @JoeBiden continues to deliver.

Yesterday, he announced a full and unconditional pardon of all prior federal offenses for simple possession of marijuana. #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵:
Folks across the country applauded the president’s actions as a significant step toward reforming America’s failed approach to marijuana.
latimes.com/politics/story…
For states like Massachusetts—where marijuana is already decriminalized—the announcement will help individuals who faced federal charges previously, but may still face difficulties finding employment or housing due to their record.

This week, @TheDemocrats marked National Voter Registration Day and continued to call out Republicans’ extreme anti-choice agenda. Here’s another #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵:
On National Voter Registration Day this Tuesday, the DNC launched a new campaign encouraging younger voters to register to vote at IWILLVOTE.com.
rollcall.com/2022/09/20/dnc…
As part of that campaign, we’re taking our voter registration efforts to new heights, flying banners around Penn State and Pitt football games tomorrow reminding eligible students to register to vote and make their voice heard this Nov.

Across our country, Republicans’ efforts to roll back reproductive freedom was on full display this week. Here's another #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵:
In West Virginia, abortion is now banned in most cases. Folks, it’s clear: Republicans will stop at nothing to enact their extreme anti-choice agenda.

This also goes for Indiana, where there is now a near-total abortion ban. We cannot allow Republicans to keep pushing their extreme anti-abortion agenda.

This week, Democrats across the country celebrated President @JoeBiden signing the Inflation Reduction Act into law. This will help lower costs and create more good-paying jobs—no thanks to a single Republican in Congress. Here's another #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵:
In Arizona, Mayor @KateWGallego called the Inflation Reduction Act’s funding for drought relief a “gamechanger,” and praised its significant investments to help people afford medical care.
