The political campaigns are in top gear. One of such things that will be prevalent in this period is the spread of misinformation/disinformation to discredit each other with attendant implications to cause mischief and chaos in our dear land, Nigeria.

We therefore say #NoToDisinformation. A recent occurrence is the distortion of facts as seen with the Aisha Buhari’s picture, where the logo she painted on her palms was interpreted as codedly telling Nigerians that AC Presidential Candidate is 88 years old.

she painted the logo of the APC Presidential Candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu on her palms during the flag-off campaign for women and youths in Kwara State.

The infinity insignia is Tinubu’s Logo and being a member of the APC, the first lady engraved the Logo on her palm as sign of her support for the party's Presidential Candidate.

It is therefore obvious, that the opposition parties deliberately circulated the image with the false and mischievous narrative in order to score cheap political points. We say #NoToDisinformation.

Like the sky, the political scene is big enough for all parties to play a fair game. Campaign for your preferred candidate in peace.

It is appalling that the opposition parties have resorted to distortion of facts These acts are tactless, tasteless, desperate and wicked which of course will not augur well for Nigeria and Nigerians in the long run.

Again, it is emphasised that the symbol on Aisha Buhari’s palms does not indicate any other thing than the Bola Tinubu’s logo which is honourably imprinted on all his caps.

Nigerians should be wise and also not be gullible to allow miscreants and mischief makers mislead them with fake news and information.
