The Aftab-Shraddha case reminds me how Maa Saheb would always tell us (says even today): बाकी कोई अपना धर्म और culture नहीं छोड़ता, सिर्फ तुम्ही फैशन के नाम पर ऐसा करते हो 😏
I'll put down my thoughts on why #DharmicRooting is important
1/n
This lecture came to me in my college days when I wasn't so fond of putting the bindi while wearing jeans. Now I do out of choice because I love to (& I think I look good).
2/n
It isn't just the bindi that is our culture. The point is I realised Maa Saheb was right because nobody else shies away from wearing their religion on their sleeves, we Hindus do.
3/n
We have an entire cabal working against us - media, cinema, left-liberals. They've succeeded in creating HINOs - Hindus in name only. To weaken a tree you always strike at the roots & that's what they do. It is our duty to strengthen the roots if we want to fight back.
4/n
You can expect none from the cabal to admit that love jihad is real. But it is high time Hindu society realises the threat. Shuturmurg banna asaan hai par satya ka saamna karna kathin.
5/n
These are the kind of people who tell you Hindu Dharma & Hindutva are different. Get this straight - if anyone says this then woh bas यही चाहते हैं हिन्दू अपने धर्म से दूर हो जाए
6/n
The cabal won't have problem with a Christian or Muslim practicing their religion par a practising Hindu is a problem because उसे brainwash nahi kar payenge ye
7/n
Jab Muslim roza rakhte hai these people appreciate but a Hindu keeping Karvachauth is patriarchy. Abrahamics start religious training at an early age.
8/n
I learned this when I saw a school mate's post saying her 5 yr daughter was keeping roza fast. She also said she has a maulana come over to teach the कुरान. How many of us Hindus can say that?
9/n
They begin indoctrination early but me putting up a post exposing Islamic terrorism was a problem (for her & many secular Hindus).
10/n
Cinema & Web series will always show a Hindu as being illiberal & rigid. If being Liberal means allowing one's daughter to be chopped to pieces then being rigid is better. We've already seen judiciary, media etc defending the monster
11/n
#DharmicRooting is important if we don't want external influences to brainwash kids. Kids need to learn what is good for them & what isn't. Peer pressure is a big thing & handling it while staying rooted needs to be taught.
12/n
Shraddha left her parents for a monster whose religion teaches him Hindus are kafirs who deserve to be converted or to die (same goes for Christianity) .
13/n
Cinema/Web series romanticise interfaith marriages. But what I've seen in real life is that it is always the Hindu who compromises. This is because only Hindus teach secularism & all are the same.
14/n
No, kathai nahi. How can those who believe that a Hindu is a heathen/kafir for whom hell fire is reserved & one who believes there are different paths to reach Bhagwan be the same?
15/n
Rather than teaching every religion the same, teach children the differences. If a Christian or a Muslim can proudly flaunt their religion, what is wrong if a Hindu wears his/her Dharma on the sleeve? The 12-21 age is a crucial window.
16/n
I come from a family that was neither over Conservative nor over Liberal, a typical middle class family. I can say from my personal example - Sow the seeds, it'll germinate some time.
17/n
Bollywood is overrun with woke Hindudveshis which reflects in the movies made by the industry. OTT has only taken the hatred a notch higher as there is no censorship. Moreover, movies and series promote promiscuity and jihad in the name of love.
18/n
One cannot control what movie web series makers create and hence one must learn and teach the basics of Dharma that’ll challenge the false narratives.
19/n
Another western concept that has been imported and imposed lock, stock, and barrel is Wokeism.
20/n
It is difficult to keep diseases completely away but once we build immunity then it becomes easier to fight them. Similarly, it is difficult to keep external influences away but we can strengthen ourselves internally by rooting ourselves in Dharma.
21/n
Schools & colleges don't do this so Hindu families & society has to do #DharmicRooting
Here are a few ideas that crop up in my mind: 1) Teach Dharma, not secularism 2) Control the kind of movies & series kids watch or at least point out anything wrong you see
22/n
3) Teach the right history (I can't emphasize this enough) 4) start early - familiarise kids with Dharmic stories. पंचतंत्र is a good starting point as is Mahabharat IMHO
5) temples need to be made focal points of community activities 6) lead by example & don't impose anything beyond a point.
Aftabs & Anthonys would be on the hunt for Shraddhas but it our responsibility to create Dharmic Kshatranis
24/n
Our Dharma is our responsibility
Let us put the cool back in TILAK, BHAGWA & DHARMA
25/25 #DharmicRooting

When we speak of gender equality the first image that naturally crops up in my mind is that of Ardhanarishwar. Nothing conveys the concept of equality between man and woman better than Shiv and Shakti uniting as Ardhanishwar. 1/14
This form signifies more than just a unity between the masculine and feminine. It shows us that men and women do not compete with but complement and complete each other. 2/14
So the #Karuparkootam was seen alleging Skanda Shashti Kavacham dedicated to Bhagwan Kartikeya as containing "vulgarcontent". Despite my limited knowledge of Tamil, I hardly have difficulty in comprehending most of the verses.
I'll just do a thread explaining some of the verses & link up a blog for a complete verse to verse transaction. I'm selecting verses randomly, so please bear with me.
The encounter of UP gangster Vikas Dubey has reopened the 'extra-judicial killing' debate with both pro and anti people putting forward a variety of opinions & conspiracy theories
