Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said, “When one of you calls upon Allah, let him hope for the greatest of things. Verily, nothing has any greatness over Allah.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān 896].
Everything in our lives that the Almighty decides for us is perfect and balanced. The wisdom behind why we are tested with hardship is known by Allah alone.
We should never lose hope because of the trials and tribulations we face nor should we ever stop returning to Him asking for ease and mercy even if over and over again.
The beautiful Prophetic Supplication of Sayyidunā Mūsa Alayhi Salaam is an essential antidote to despair:
Transliteration: Rabbi innee limaaa anzalta ilaiya min khairin faqeer
“My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.” [Surah Al-Qasas/Ayat 24]
Sayyidunā Mūsa Alayhi Salaam endured numerous trials during various stages of his life. This beautiful Dua was made by Mūsa Alayhi Salaam at a time of sheer desperation, by claiming that he is faqeer, which is Arabic for “in need” or “in poverty.”
Immediately after making this supplication, Allah Ta’ālā accepted it and granted him a beautiful ending!
A positive attitude through periods of mental & spiritual states of despair engenders optimism & lightens one's burden. This is an extremely powerful Dua,that covers all the good we need from Allah, when we aren’t exactly sure what is best for us.#uncertainty #hope#needs#tibbalnafs
