1. @nelsonchamisa:

"Many don't understand that CCC project is a people's project & that God is in it. It has a God element because we didn't just wake up with it. There's a reason why we had to be moved from the Egypt of our politics (MDC), into the Cannan of new politics,(CCC)"
2. @nelsonchamisa:

"CCC was a product of a lot of inspiration, revelation & consultation. We spent the last quarter of 2021 consulting different stakeholders, churches; traditional leaders; trade union leaders; youth & women groups; business; & various other organized groups."
3. @nelsonchamisa:

"(people said)..they needed a new vehicle, new substance, new politics, new software in politics. That's how we ended up coalescing around the convergence narrative, a new consensus of the people of 🇿🇼, to respond to years of oppression & decades of injustice"
4. @nelsonchamisa:

"CCC is a response to what's broken about our politics; an embodiment of that answer to the call for dignity, call for justice, call for diversity, call for the primary consideration of citizens as the most important element in decision making."
5. @nelsonchamisa:

"Citizens must be at the center in decision making; policy making, budgeting; in elections; in forming & constituting government; in making & unmaking leaders; in delivering services. It's a philosophy that puts the citizen & not the politician at the center."
6. @nelsonchamisa:

"In CCC, there's no cockpit of the elite. We're all driving this important machine. We're all drivers. CCC isn't a speedboat which you can turn willy-nilly. It's a big ship, & turning takes time bcoz they'll always be resistance 4rm thoz from the old politics"
7. @nelsonchamisa:

"Anything new is bound to be resisted, to be fought. Taking people out of Egypt is easier than taking Egypt out of people. Egypt still lingers in people's minds & thoughts, but we need a process of transformation of the minds & heart, to have new politics."
8. @nelsonchamisa:

"We need a transformation of the heart & mind, to have a new politics of engagement, politics of issues, politics of institutions & ideas, not politics of personalities, big names, but big ideas. That's what we are building. We are building an institution."
9. @nelsonchamisa:

"I'm so happy that the progress (building CCC institution) has been fantastic. Colleagues in ZanuPF are very jittery & scared because we are using new methods, unconventional methods. We realized we have to be inventional, disruptive, bringing news strategies"
10. @nelsonchamisa:

"They'll be talking about so called structures in the old scheme of how structures were designed. We've a new form of structure. Nothing stands without form & there can't be a form without structure & there can't be structure without participants & players."
11. @nelsonchamisa:

"We've found a new way of structuring ourselves and we are very happy. We are dealing with a guerrilla regime and it requires a guerrilla response. We don't always have to show them who we are and what we intend to do, but to always catch them by surprise."
12. @nelsonchamisa:

"(attendance at maiden rally) was a confirmation that God Is In It. We had no resources, police tried to disrupt us, transport was not there. There was nothing but we've now gotten used to this situation where we've nothing but end up with something big."
13. @nelsonchamisa:

"The huge attendance at Zimbabwe Grounds (maiden rally) was exciting, but also humbling & emboldening. We realized that the our God & the people of Zimbabwe are with us. No human force can stop an idea whose time has come and the time for change is upon us."
14. @nelsonchamisa:

"All our rallies have been fantastic, whether in rural or urban areas, yet this was just a by-election launch. We are yet to launch the citizen’s movement, we've only introduced it. The launch is yet to come. We are preparing for it and it will be very soon."
15. @nelsonchamisa:

"We are still laying the foundation, the grassroots, making sure we are grounded in the communities in an organic way. Our #mugwazo program is to make sure we give birth to a giant mass movement, a universal response to our universal challenges."
16. @nelsonchamisa:

"The determination of young people, the determination of older people, the determination of pensioners, across tribal and racial divides tells us that change is unstoppable, and nobody can stop change."
17. @nelsonchamisa

(reflection on political journey)

"It has been very humbling. We've moved a very long road, but there's no easy walk to change & transformation. We've been in different stations of service, as Gov Ministers, Parliamentarians, Communities, Youth Leadership."
18. @nelsonchamisa:

"I'm more humbled because it's not very often that you would have a single individual being able to serve in 3 branches of State. I've served as MP including being a ACPU rep in Brasills; served in gvt as ICT Minister, & as an Advocate in the Superior court."
19. @nelsonchamisa:

"We did very well in the by-elections. For a party formed in Jan to hit close to 80% was huge. Its an impressive record which had never happened. They thought they had buried us, little did they know, they had planted us. We've germinated, we're flourishing"
20. @nelsonchamisa:

"In 2023, we are looking at +65% win.We don't want to repeat past mistakes of winning by small margins because those who do meticulous verifications will verify you out of the contest. We want to win big, even if they rig.We want to win by a very wide margin"
21. @nelsonchamisa:

"We are excited about building a new Great Zimbabwe. We're excited because the citizens have embraced their project. When we say citizens first, citizens at the center, they must be driving this process. Leaders are just accessories to the citizens' efforts"
22. @nelsonchamisa:

"I look at 2023 as the year of the citizens' victory. Its possible. It has been done b4. Key thing is ensuring victory will be secured. Once between twice shy. We're putting every effort to make sure the citizens' victory is guaranteed & won't be reversed."

1] Fellow citizens...

Sometimes, some of the inputs of thought leaders & intellectuals in our body politics simply expose their lazy thinking.

I get perplexed, reading some of the stuff Adv Chamisa & the CCC get accused of not doing or not pursuing, so as to unseat ZanuPF. Image
2] One such "big idea", is 'selling alternative policies to business leaders" for instance, so as to attract their policy input & political support.

It's impossible for anyone who has followed Zimbabwean politics for even a single day, to wholeheartedly suggest such stuff.
3] With the paranoid nature of the Mnangagwa regime, how does one see such public meetings & engagement materializing.

Also, which business leaders would publicly consent to such meetings, and risk having to deal with the repressive political might, of the Mnangagwa government.

1. The MDC circus may have now gone full circle, in light of the concentration of power by mukoma @DMwonzora, post his power grab.

Many would remember the pro-Mwonzora propaganda which left the other group, led by Adv Chamisa, being accused of being anti-constitutionalism. Image
2. The mask is now off, as mukoma swiftly safeguards his position

Sadly we've seen the use of violence, something they accused Chamisa of.

Their then Acting Pres, Madam Khupe was unceremoniously man handled at their EOC
Her aid, Mashumba was beate by Musarurwa led MDC-T youths. ImageImageImageImage
3. Mkoma's next move, was shielding himself from any internal contest, particularly post the chaotic EOC, which be was roundly accused of rigging, by MaKhupe, Komichi & Mudzuri

Whereas he appeared magnanimous in appointing all 3 to his executive, mukoma set out to oust them all. Image

1] Funny how there is no mention of ZanuPF whatsoever, regarding the "structure" debate, by any of our brilliant political scientists & commentators.

This is interesting particularly because there is something curious, that is happening in Mr Mnangagwa's ZanuPF.
2] Whereas there cannot be any debate, as to whether ZanuPF has structures, if the whole debate hovers around party positions.

It's east to pin point who is heading what department, province, party wing, etc, in ZanuPF.

Yet interestingly, it's all about positions and shefu-ism.
3] Take for instance, the Political Commissars in ZanuPF.

Whereas this has traditionally been one of the key positions in the party, held by decorated mobilizers, it's currently held by one Bimha, a political dodo in his own right, who only occasionally holds press conferences.

1. I'm failing to make sense of this statement from @GodieTsenengamu.

Does it happen anywhere else in the world, that a president of an Opposition party holds a press conference to review the political activities of another Opposition party leader, and the movement he leads?
2. Surely, neither Adv Chamisa nor CCC, have any business acting on the political ideas of Tsenengamu and FEEZ.

That's the latters headache.

It's even more bizarre that Tsenengamu claims that FEEZ is a "radical & confrontational" movement when all he does is random interviews.
3. Nothing captures this level of desperation and weirdness, than the fact that some weeks back now, Tsenengamu and others, held a press conference promising to ACT and force the release of the #Nyatsime16

To date, nothing has come out of those promises and threats.

1] Was reflecting ageless wisdom shared by our now fallen gentle giant, Dr Magaisa, regarding that statement by Prof Madhuku.

Three statements kept coming to my mind:

a. Law of unintended consequences
b. Who put the tortoise on the lamppost?
c. Missing the forest for the tree.
2] Missing the forest for the tree.

When someone does that, they simply fail to neither understand nor appreciate a larger situation, by concentrating on a few parts of it.

That has been the case with those focusing on how Prof Madhuku says Sikhala et al are political prisoners
3] Yes Prof Madhuku is spot on. The #Nyatsime16 are all political prisoners, being deliberately punished through prolonged pre-trial detention.

Prof doesn't unearth something unknown, by that particular submission.
It is an open secret, consistently established by many citizens.

1] @ProfMadhuku, it's unacceptably reckless of you to insuate that CCC is responsible for the political persecution of its supporters, as a way of advancing your pro-POLAD agenda.

I hope your next "reflection" will result in you retracting this unfortunate political stunt.
2] Prof, it's a shocking revision of history, to insinuate that Nelson Chamisa is against dialogue.

Since 2018, NC has publicly called for dialogue, even privately writing to Mr Mnangagwa, calling for the same, a call which the latter has spunned, for what are now clear reasons
3] It's disingenuous on your part, to insinuate that Chamisa's reluctance to be swallowed in the dubious platform swamped by weightless parties, formed solely for the purpose of posturing is tantamount to being against dialogue.

Unless you're doing Mr Mnangagwa's propaganda.
