SHEIN puts a seemingly incredible 6000 new designs online every day.
Many tailors work 12-14 hours a day, 29 days a month. This is illegal.
SHEIN relies on so-called "dark patterns".
This refers to methods such as hidden costs and advertisements, time-limited offers and much more, in order to persuade buyers to purchase the clothing.
The goods at SHEIN are mainly made of plastic.
For example, in the case of clothing for women alone, 271,618 of 464,769 models are made of polyester.

🌊 11 days of protest. 1 Arctic Sunrise. 16 crew members. 5 climbers. 2 kayaks. That’s what it’s taken to shake the deep sea mining industry to its core (1/5)
Over the last 2 weeks, whatever the weather or time, Greenpeace International activists put themselves between the mining industry ship and the Pacific Ocean using kayaks, rhibs, and even CLIMBED the crane of the ship. (2/5)
.@themetalsco attempted to stop the protest through court, but this resulted in Greenpeace International winning a landmark judgement for peaceful protest! The judge said it was "understandable" that the organisation has taken direct action against @themetalsco’s plans. (3/5)

3/ The Metals Company, who chartered the vessel in the picture⬇️ to collect data and finalize its application to start mining, is very determined but not as much as our kayaktivists are: deep sea mining will not start on our watch!

1/8 📢🚨: Governments @UN have just agreed on a Global Ocean Treaty! 🌍
🎉 This is huge - it’s the biggest conservation victory ever! 🎉
Here’s a 🧵 on how we got here and what it means:
2/8 🌊 It’s a victory for the oceans and it’s a victory for people power.
💪Over 5 million people have joined our movement to protect the oceans. The politicians couldn’t ignore our call!
3/8 The treaty enables governments to set up sanctuaries across the global oceans- making it possible to protect 30% of the oceans by 2030, the minimum scientists say is needed for oceans and marine life to recover 🐟
