Trump alternated between retweeting “#FireFauci” and bragging that Fauci is “with us in all ways.”
Here’s an article about how Trump was supportive of Kemp reopening Georgia, then changed his mind and decided that he wasn’t: nytimes.com/2020/04/23/us/…
Trump should run for the Republican nomination on his record of changing his opinion on reopening depending on how recently he had spoken to his adviser, Anthony Fauci, whom he never fired.
"Say what you will about President Trump but he never wavered in allowing Fauci & the CDC to tell states to lock down. DeSantis, on the other hand, was VERY DISRESPECTFUL to President Trump by initially agreeing, then realizing that lockdowns were bad."
They try this misdirection of "Well actually he didn't FORCE them to lock down; he just told them to lock down & said that the decision to reopen is his."
Basically the premise that Trump's word doesn't mean anything.
DeSantis made a mistake by initially listening to Trump's demand to lock down.
DeSantis did the right thing by fighting to reopen over the objection of Trump, Fauci, the CDC, teachers unions, and a national media campaign to smear him as a murderer.
The case for Trump 2024: He stood on national TV and told states to lockdown, allowed the CDC to give guidelines for locking down, and criticized states for reopening, but that doesn’t count.
I'll deactivate my account if HannibalHalbert can name a single time that DeSantis denied initially listening to Trump's advice to lock down his state.
Offer is still on the table. I will deactivate my account if HannibalHalbert can show me a single time that DeSantis claimed to have opposed Trump's lockdowns from day one.
Continues to reply to me; continues to refuse to give evidence for his false claim that DeSantis claimed to oppose Trump's lockdown advocacy from day one.
