Trump alternated between retweeting “#FireFauci” and bragging that Fauci is “with us in all ways.”

Here’s an article about how Trump was supportive of Kemp reopening Georgia, then changed his mind and decided that he wasn’t: nytimes.com/2020/04/23/us/… ImageImageImageImage
“Say what you will about Trump, but he stayed the course and never fired Fauci, even though he repeatedly tweeted it.”
April 17: “LIBERATE MICHIGAN!”

April 30: “Sweden is paying heavily for its decision not to lockdown.” ImageImage
Trump should run for the Republican nomination on his record of changing his opinion on reopening depending on how recently he had spoken to his adviser, Anthony Fauci, whom he never fired.

ImageImage
"Say what you will about President Trump but he never wavered in allowing Fauci & the CDC to tell states to lock down. DeSantis, on the other hand, was VERY DISRESPECTFUL to President Trump by initially agreeing, then realizing that lockdowns were bad."
DChapz: DeSantis flip flopped on lockdowns.

Yours Truly: Here are two tweets.

DChapz: That doesn’t count. ImageImage
Halpert: "People make mistakes. It’s ok. He should own it instead of trying to rewrite history."

DeSantis: "Lockdowns were a huge mistake."

Halpert: "Doesn't count."

theepochtimes.com/desantis-lockd…

Ron DeSantis took full responsibility for the mistake of listening to Fauci and Trump's recommendation to lock down.

"He and his minions say he never locked down."

No, this is false.

But I support DeSantis for president, so I encourage people to attack him for being insufficiently supportive of lockdowns.

They try this misdirection of "Well actually he didn't FORCE them to lock down; he just told them to lock down & said that the decision to reopen is his."

Basically the premise that Trump's word doesn't mean anything.

Because there's no defense for this.

DeSantis made a mistake by initially listening to Trump's demand to lock down.

DeSantis did the right thing by fighting to reopen over the objection of Trump, Fauci, the CDC, teachers unions, and a national media campaign to smear him as a murderer.

"Trump isn't at fault for telling governors to lock down. The governors are at fault for listening to him."

"Trump made recommendations."

To lock down.

The case for Trump 2024: He stood on national TV and told states to lockdown, allowed the CDC to give guidelines for locking down, and criticized states for reopening, but that doesn’t count.
This argument would be more convincing if DChapz supported any of those seven governors for president over Trump, who wrongly told them to lock down.
I'll deactivate my account if HannibalHalbert can name a single time that DeSantis denied initially listening to Trump's advice to lock down his state.

It's just so mindless and destructive.

Going after the person who led the charge to reopen? The reason that our country doesn't have mask mandates and vaccine mandates?

Bordeline obscene.

These people do not support Trump, the person.

They support a fictional version of Trump that only exists in their imaginations.

ImageImage
Offer is still on the table. I will deactivate my account if HannibalHalbert can show me a single time that DeSantis claimed to have opposed Trump's lockdowns from day one.

DeSantis is the pro-freedom governor. It's why libs called him DeathSantis.

He admits that DeSantis never claimed that he was opposed to Trump's lockdowns from day one.

Continues to reply to me; continues to refuse to give evidence for his false claim that DeSantis claimed to oppose Trump's lockdown advocacy from day one.

I never thought that Trump is secretly a white nationalist or a Holocaust denier; that’s idiotic. Trump loves Jews.

It’s just that he keeps allowing these situations to happen, and then people have to go on cleanup duty.
A conflicting account.

Whether Fuentes met Trump or not is not particularly relevant. I doubt Trump knew who Fuentes is.

My guess is that, if they met, Fuentes said nice things to him, so of course Trump would consider it a positive interaction.

How does this help us win?

Best they can do is a tweet from March 3, 2020, back when Fauci was against masks and lockdowns.

I’d support Fauci too if he was against masks and lockdowns.

Problem is, stuff happened after March 3, 2020.
This is, of course, not true.

But the fact that he has to lie so brazenly proved how good the truth makes DeSantis look.
It was great when Trump said in early April that he wanted to open up by Easter.

This was the follow up. Image

“DeSantis should listen to Trump. No, not like that.”
> Trump says to shut down
> DeSantis shuts down, then opens up
> Deadenders, who have no idealogy, criticize DeSantis for initially listening to Trump
Trump’s advocacy for lockdowns is indefensible, which is what they admit by trying to pretend that he didn’t advocate for lockdowns.

Kemp tried to reopen Georgia.

Fauci and Trump said that Kemp should not reopen Georgia.

Which side was correct? Image
There’s no answer to this. Not even an attempt. Image

On one hand, DeSantis stuck it to Disney.

On the other hand, rumors and speculation.
This is on-brand for Russian Flag Emoji, who often points to things that *have not happened* as proof that you can’t trust DeSantis.
