a praise for @maddow's terrific podcast series, "Ultra"--even though she has ignored my repeated importuning to come talk about it on the @lawfareblog.
Also, today's #BeastOfTheDay--who reminds you that she no longer appears on Twitter.
I do not intend to share a platform with Donald Trump again—at least not more than I have to. I will not exit Twitter entirely, as I have Lawfare content to promote and Twitter is useful for many things. That said, I don’t plan to spend time here any more for purposes other
than reading news and promoting our work. For those who wish to follow my work, thoughts, and sillinesses, I will be migrating most of that to Substack and Mastodon and Facebook/Instagram.
I am not leaving, but I’m leaving, if you know what I mean.
The Dulles Silver Line report—in honor of @joshgerstein. I report. You decide.
Steps from C Gate to Metro Platform: 1698
Marginal steps to Metro platform from Ground Tranportation area: 859
I may have ridden the Metro to the end of the line—just for posterity.
Okay, so here’s the critical question: how long does the Dulles-to-Metro Center run take? We gonna find out—excluding my eccentric detour to the end o’ the line. Metro is turning around now.
A note on the antisemitic laser projections that happened last night in Florida. The technology looks very familiar to me; to wit, I think it is the same tech I use for russian embassy projections. Specifically, I believe this is being done with a LaserCube made by @wickedlasers.
Vile as the message is, I doubt that the perpetrators are violating any laws. That said, for anyone looking for the perps, here is some info. The LaserCube can project well over extremely long distances. I did this projection over something like 200 meters, for example.
The flickering nature of the text suggests to me that we are dealing with a considerable distance in this case.
