I've written everyday for 327 days.

7 ways how writing everyday can change your life:
1/ Clarity of thinking

The more you write, the easier it gets to communicate your ideas.

When you start writing, you are:

• Putting your thoughts on paper
• Organizing it in a way that resonates with the reader
• Capturing ideas so your brain is free to think of new ideas
The better you get at organizing those ideas, the easier it gets for you to simplify your ideas and thinking.

The simple act of putting pen to paper can improve your mental health drastically.
2/ Discipline in other areas of your life

Writing is hard.

The more you write, the more you realize it's tough to show up every single day.

When you master the art of showing up at your worst, writing gets easy.
Which tends to bleed into other areas of your life:

• Working out
• Reading
• Productivity

You will have the combined mindset of a Navy SEAL and a monk.
3/ Building new connections

Writing online exposes your work to a million people if done regularly.

Which in turn attracts the attention of like-minded people.

Which won't happen if you don't publish on the internet.

Use the internet to your advantage, not as an escape.
4/ Writing is a recession-proof skill

Everything you see online involves writing.

• Websites
• Podcasts
• Youtube videos
• Tweets and threads

Once you learn how to write well, you'll never go broke.
5/ Embrace failure

When you write, some pieces might go viral.

Most of them won't.

The more you publish on the internet, the more you'll realize the importance of failure,

In fact, you'll stop viewing your writing as content and start viewing them as data points.
6/ Develop a problem-solving approach

Writing because you feel like it ❌
Writing because it solves a problem ✅

Think about this: why should the reader read what you've written?
Does it solve problem?

Soon, you'll see this pattern repeat everytime you pick a topic to write.
7/ Build authority in your curiosity

With writing, you have a chance to pursue your curiosities and develop expertise in it.

The more you write about a topic, the more people start recognizing you with it.
TL;DR

7 ways how writing everyday can change your life:

Embrace failure
Clarity of thinking
Building new connections
Develop a recession proof skill
Build authority in your curiosity
Discipline in other areas of your life
Develop a problem-solving approach
And that's it!

Writing is 98% editing.

But most people do it wrong.

Here are 7 editing tips that will make your writing stand-out:
1) Wait at least 12-24 hours before editing

Seinfeld treats his writing self and editing self as two different people.

You have different priorities while doing both.

• While writing, your priority is to get words on paper
• While editing, your priority is to remove fluff
Another reason to edit later is to kill the recency bias.

You're going to love everything the moment you write something.

(Even stuff that's BS)

Most people forget 98% of what they read.

Here’s how to read a book(so you remember everything you read): Image
Step 1: On the first page of the book, write your WHY for reading the book.

Or even better, write 3 problems you intend to solve with the book.

Be specific.
Step 2: As you read, highlight key points and quotes that resonate with you

Don’t highlight everything you read.

Highlight stuff that makes you stop and think. (& that you can use in your daily life).

Add your own reference points or context to the stuff you highlighted.

Getting addicted to these kinda dopamine hits will:

31 lessons I know at 31 that I wish I knew at 21:

1. Stop chasing dopamine from the results. Focus on getting addicted to the dopamine from the process.
2. Good things in life come from doing tough shit. Workout. Writing. Meditation. Train your patience.

3. You don't need to quit your job to build a side hustle.

4. Focus on showing up instead of completely ignoring the task.
5. Start writing online. The sooner the better. If you can't leave a legacy, try to leave a digital footprint of your work.

6. Delaying gratification is the single greatest skill you need to excel in literally any challenge life throws at you.

Want to 10x your productivity?

These 9 dead-simple tips will save you 30+ hours every week and maximize your focus:
1/ The 2-minute rule

If you don't feel like doing something, just get started.

2 Minutes is a minimal commitment in the long term.

More often than not, 2 minutes are all you need to get started and build the momentum.

Once you get started, you'll find it easier to keep going.
2/ Break down big tasks into smaller chunks

Want to write a book? Commit to writing 200 words a day.

Want to run a marathon? Start by running 10 minutes a day.

It's easy to get overwhelmed by the magnitude of a project.
