1] #MorningReflection

I've seen a lot of anger & frustrations being (mis)directed towards some institutions led by individuals now part of the many #4ED structures.

Perhaps we need first, to try & understand the political gamesmanship motivating these gimmicks by the regime.
2] To begin with, most of these #4ED structures are actually founded & run by ZanuPF members while those mostly active on social media, are controlled by counter intelligence operatives.

Presenting them as none aligned institutions just supporting ED's re-election is deliberate.
3] Theres something to learn also, from the timing of the mushrooming of these institutions, & their choreographed political massaging.

These "unstuctured" institutions, though seemingly appearing independent, are actually being unmistakably remote controlled from somewhere.
4] Much of the #4ED theatrics found themselves on our political stage towards the ZanuPF Congress where ED actually felt threatened.

Mr Mnangagwa began receiving numerous & "random" endorsement for 2023, from structures & social groups, seemingly representing many citizens.
5] That Lacoste strategy sort of put the party in a bit of a fix, deliberately isolating any sentiments for leadership change, whether real or imagined

Imagine the party then "electing" someone else, yet society & none party institutions were already demanding ED's 5 more years?
6] Also, Mr Mnangagwa feels a personal need to put more focus on his individual re-election, than that of the party.

That desperate can be traced back to 2018, where even by ZEC's own figures, ZanuPF outperformed their candidate.

ED equally feels a sense of internal betrayal.
7] Consequently, these #4ED structures are operating around the re-election of the individual himself, & not the party.

Infact, ZanuPF formally halted any other campaigns, save for that of the presidential candidate

The plan if for Mr Mnangagwa to hopefully cover so much ground
8] Theres little to no mention whatsoever of the party, as the dominant messaging remains "4ED".

Even the alternative CCC, has de-personalized "ngaapinde hake mukomana" by explaining that "mukomana" is a personification of broad citizens' aspirations.

Lacoste isn't even trying.
9] Back to the #4ED structures, many of them are an expression of political oxymoron.

Imagine citizens running away from the country searching greener pastures, only to then create a structure, to support & re-elect the personification of the very circumstances that pushed them!
10] With some of the religious leaders, the Bishop, in the 'farm mechandization scandal' BSR, exposed how & why they are pro-regime

Many of the popular gos-prenuers, have business interests in mining & other strategic sectors, thus appreciate benefits of being pre-establishment.
11] For the strategic apostolic sects, many have their leadership hooked to ZanuPF due to personal economic benefits.

The State equally offers them free land for appeasement.

Most tragically, State deliberately ignores some of their cultural practices such as child marriages.
12] Yet in the midst of all this, it would be more tragic to misdirect our frustration towards the innocent individuals indirectly associated with the #4ED structures.

Many are actually bewildered by the antics of the 'leaders' who supposedly speak politically, on their behalf.
13] It's okay to be frustrated by the theatrics of Tagwirei & Pastor Rusikira, without demonizing the broad SDA faith.

Likewise, it's okay to be infuriated by Makandiwa, Guti, Chiwenga, Magaya, without insulting the broad Pentecostal faith.

Same goes for the #Mapostori faith.
14] Part of the madness actually involves the political isolation of the Chamisa led alternative.

Ordinarily, out of disillusionment & frustrations, citizens will vote for the alternative, yet ZanuPF wants to project the very citizens as being in total support of the status qou.
15] That isolation of the alternative was even a feature of the first republic, & persists to date.

ZanuPF was actively involved in the split of many key popular institutions, beyond just political parties.

This involves churches, CSOs, sporting institutions, media houses, etc.
16] When it's convenient & strategic to do so, these institutions begin making pro-regime pronouncements, much to the vexation & chagrin of citizens.

That annoyance results in apathy & a toxic attitude towards the broader membership of those structures, yet many are innocent.
17] There are so many rational individuals domiciled in the institutions whose leadership are falling ontop of each other, sheepishly endorsing Mr Mnangagwa.

A significant number of them share the frustrations of many of us, because ZanuPF & Mr Mnangagwa have simply failed.
18] Focus should remain on communicating alternative policies, & how CCC govt will perform differently, for the benefit of cross boarders, civil servants, vendors, taxi drivers, miners, local artists, etc.

That's the most effective way of countering these CIO run #4ED gimmicks.
19] Even in politics, dont waste time bashing what you hate. Promote what you love.

Don't help create enemies for Adv Chamisa & CCC, falling for these CIO gimmicks.

Shanduko mu 🇿🇼 will only come through the efforts of yellow missionaries, spreading the change gospel.

enkosi!

1] Fellow citizens...

Sometimes, some of the inputs of thought leaders & intellectuals in our body politics simply expose their lazy thinking.

I get perplexed, reading some of the stuff Adv Chamisa & the CCC get accused of not doing or not pursuing, so as to unseat ZanuPF.
2] One such "big idea", is 'selling alternative policies to business leaders" for instance, so as to attract their policy input & political support.

It's impossible for anyone who has followed Zimbabwean politics for even a single day, to wholeheartedly suggest such stuff.
3] With the paranoid nature of the Mnangagwa regime, how does one see such public meetings & engagement materializing.

Also, which business leaders would publicly consent to such meetings, and risk having to deal with the repressive political might, of the Mnangagwa government.

1. @nelsonchamisa:

"Many don't understand that CCC project is a people's project & that God is in it. It has a God element because we didn't just wake up with it. There's a reason why we had to be moved from the Egypt of our politics (MDC), into the Cannan of new politics,(CCC)"
2. @nelsonchamisa:

"CCC was a product of a lot of inspiration, revelation & consultation. We spent the last quarter of 2021 consulting different stakeholders, churches; traditional leaders; trade union leaders; youth & women groups; business; & various other organized groups."
3. @nelsonchamisa:

"(people said)..they needed a new vehicle, new substance, new politics, new software in politics. That's how we ended up coalescing around the convergence narrative, a new consensus of the people of 🇿🇼, to respond to years of oppression & decades of injustice"

1. The MDC circus may have now gone full circle, in light of the concentration of power by mukoma @DMwonzora, post his power grab.

Many would remember the pro-Mwonzora propaganda which left the other group, led by Adv Chamisa, being accused of being anti-constitutionalism. Image
2. The mask is now off, as mukoma swiftly safeguards his position

Sadly we've seen the use of violence, something they accused Chamisa of.

Their then Acting Pres, Madam Khupe was unceremoniously man handled at their EOC
Her aid, Mashumba was beate by Musarurwa led MDC-T youths. ImageImageImageImage
3. Mkoma's next move, was shielding himself from any internal contest, particularly post the chaotic EOC, which be was roundly accused of rigging, by MaKhupe, Komichi & Mudzuri

Whereas he appeared magnanimous in appointing all 3 to his executive, mukoma set out to oust them all. Image

1] Funny how there is no mention of ZanuPF whatsoever, regarding the "structure" debate, by any of our brilliant political scientists & commentators.

This is interesting particularly because there is something curious, that is happening in Mr Mnangagwa's ZanuPF.
2] Whereas there cannot be any debate, as to whether ZanuPF has structures, if the whole debate hovers around party positions.

It's east to pin point who is heading what department, province, party wing, etc, in ZanuPF.

Yet interestingly, it's all about positions and shefu-ism.
3] Take for instance, the Political Commissars in ZanuPF.

Whereas this has traditionally been one of the key positions in the party, held by decorated mobilizers, it's currently held by one Bimha, a political dodo in his own right, who only occasionally holds press conferences.

1. I'm failing to make sense of this statement from @GodieTsenengamu.

Does it happen anywhere else in the world, that a president of an Opposition party holds a press conference to review the political activities of another Opposition party leader, and the movement he leads?
2. Surely, neither Adv Chamisa nor CCC, have any business acting on the political ideas of Tsenengamu and FEEZ.

That's the latters headache.

It's even more bizarre that Tsenengamu claims that FEEZ is a "radical & confrontational" movement when all he does is random interviews.
3. Nothing captures this level of desperation and weirdness, than the fact that some weeks back now, Tsenengamu and others, held a press conference promising to ACT and force the release of the #Nyatsime16

To date, nothing has come out of those promises and threats.

1] Was reflecting ageless wisdom shared by our now fallen gentle giant, Dr Magaisa, regarding that statement by Prof Madhuku.

Three statements kept coming to my mind:

a. Law of unintended consequences
b. Who put the tortoise on the lamppost?
c. Missing the forest for the tree.
2] Missing the forest for the tree.

When someone does that, they simply fail to neither understand nor appreciate a larger situation, by concentrating on a few parts of it.

That has been the case with those focusing on how Prof Madhuku says Sikhala et al are political prisoners
3] Yes Prof Madhuku is spot on. The #Nyatsime16 are all political prisoners, being deliberately punished through prolonged pre-trial detention.

Prof doesn't unearth something unknown, by that particular submission.
It is an open secret, consistently established by many citizens.
