I live in a huge riding. It’s an hour drive to my MPPs office in #SmithsFalls. But I’m doing it tomorrow morning. I’ll bring a sign and a message to stand up for wetlands, affordable housing & our conservation authorities because #Bill23 trashes them all.

And it’s been keeping me awake. Science-based protections would come off so many protected wetlands across the province including ones that I love. Endangered salamanders barely holding on on #MountNemo would be fair game for gravel mining.
Sprawl that nobody but wealthy developers want would ruin the best farmland in our country. Billions that developers pay to our municipalities would be waived and you and I would get stuck w the bil. Conservation Authorities that protect us from flooding? Gutted.
Experts say truly affordable housing would be even less accessible. Nobody wants this. Word from Queen’s Park is that MPPs are hearing from their constituents “People really don’t like this bill!” That’s good but we need to turn it up even more. The vote may be Monday.
