Look at the reporting on Mermaids or the work of Genevieve Gluck and you see that the former motive is for sure present...however, the capture of medical and educational and political establishments so that your local librarian believes it axiomatically took a different path

Started reading America on Fire and you can just tell right away that the historical answer is: the alternatives to policing for re-establishing order in communities wracked by pervasive crime and violence were vaporous and community leaders eventually realized that
The book asserts that the other path was viable but I'm pretty confident that it's own scholarship will actually inadvertently show that isn't so

Setting reasonable standards of appropriateness for children has nothing to do with violence.

Why is it so important that bizarre exhibitions be staged for children that rhetorical frenzy — “if you don’t support this, you support the mass murder innocents!” — must be deployed?
Why must leading politicians and TV personalities act like everything decent hinges on allowing these bizarre exhibitions to go forward? Satanix must perform for the nursery school or the progressive project dies.
Therefore any amount of hyperbole and blood libel is justified to terrorize anyone who might consider objecting into silence

Months ago, Rowling noted that a newspaper was taking care not to misgender a "woman" who used "her" penis to rape a woman.

Some male liberal wrote a 20-tweet thread lecturing her that only a hateful bigot would think there was something wrong with this. Anyone have a link?
