Why is it said that only psychological pain falls away after Enlightenment, but not physical pain? If Consciousness is our true nature and if it's really primary & prior to everything, then wouldn't we also be free of physical pain too?
#Enlightenment
Pain is a general word universally applied to both body and mind.

But, are they both ‘pain’ ?

A lustful man could not possess a woman, and is suffering pain. A child was bitten by an ant, and is crying in pain.

Is it fair to call both by the same word and idea called ‘pain’ ?
A psychological pain is purely caused by attachment and delusion.

Then, what is physical pain.

It is not pain. It is body’s signal mechanism that something has to be set right. This unpleasantness instructs the brain to take some action and correct it.
#Enlightenment
Otherwise if a snake bites you while you were asleep, you would be gone in sleep. Or you wouldn't know if your hands burnt touching fire. You would hurt yourself many times & you will not know. The worst is, you would not know even if you had an attack or stroke.
#Enlightenment
have heard of cases where children could not feel pain, and the parents would give all their wealth just to make their child feel the pain.

There is a physical pain, and there is a mental brooding over this physical pain, converting it into psychological pain.
#Enlightenment
That's why the psychological pain of a similar physical pain is different for a brave heart & a chicken heart.

Ramana Maharishi had cancer in His hand & suffered physical pain aka mechanism of body. Since He was not attached to His body or hand, there was no psychological pain.
Physical pain is a life saving mechanism. Psychological pain is absolute ignorance, and absolutely avoidable.

What were the core teachings of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa?

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa's teachings virtually cover the entire gamut of Hinduism and its various facets. It is very difficult to consolidate his core teachings to a few lines. Anyhow I will make a humble effort: Image
The purpose of Human life is to realize God.
One must strive to realize God in this very birth.
Knowing God is real knowledge. All other other knowledge is ignorance.
Without sacrificing Kamini and Kanchana (lust and gold) no spiritual progress is ever possible.

Yat mat, tat pat - "As many religions, so many paths". In attaining God, every religion is valid.
God is with form, without form & He could manifest in so many other ways too, beyond our comprehension.
An idol isn't just clay. God's consciousness manifests in it.

Ms Bagalamukhi - this Mahavidya or Cosmic Wisdom among the Dus Mahavidyas or 10 Great Cosmic Wisdom Goddesses in the Hindu Pantheon of Tantric Goddesses.
#Spirituality Image
One of her main aspects is related to speech; which is why she resonates with the Great Cosmic Wisdom Ma Tara, and is often considered one of her forms. Image
We can understand this connection if we agree that an intense subtle radiation is related to manifestation of light; thus, Tara manifests as Bagalamukhi when subtle energy of sound manifests as light.

This video speaks of other cosmic aspects of Ma Tara

Inclusion of householders in the Spiritual league almost at par with the monastic disciples. Also, bringing them together in His name for serving the larger human cause.

What's "Tapas" in Hinduism?

Its an important concept in Hinduism & like so many terms has no English equivalent. It has various meanings around generation of internal “heat” like austerity, asceticism, penance, self-discipline, meditation, self-denial, self-abnegation etc. Image
The GITA Chapter 17 has a detailed dissertation on the subject - detailing the tapas (self-discipline) of body, speech and mind.

The Threefold Division of Tapas (self-discipline):

Why do enlightened people like Jiddu, U.G. Ramakrishna, and Ramana Maharshi give contradictory statements on the Kundalini power? Some of them negate and others affirmative.

Ramakrishna Paramahamsa is universal in his spirituality. He did not merely accept but intensely practiced several religious paths and then the several systems within Hinduism, and showed that they were all true.

#Kundalini Image
He stated the truths in simple words, expressed and displayed truths directly, and compassionately taught all these to everyone.

He did express about Kundalini, which has been celebrated by Sages for thousands of years. This must be true. No doubts.
