Spiced fish dish w/ Moroccan inspiration
#chezfrantzman
Spice blend of sweet and spicy paprika, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, sugar, chili flakes, cardamon, cumin, turmeric.

Marinate red snapper in some of the spices.

Carrot, red onion, zucchini, red and orange bell pepper. Image
Parsley and coriander.

Chives.

Three tomatoes.

Ten cloves of garlic, three crushed, two minced, the others whole.
In a deep large pan we began by sauteing onions in olive oil with salt and then added crushed garlic and some of the spice blend; then adding the chopped tomatoes, and red and orange sliced peppers. Image
After several minutes we added a bit of warm water, and more spices and vegetables and garlic. We continued to slightly salt the mixture. We added parsley and coriander and dash of chives.
Then we added a cup of water and cooked down covered. Finally we added three filets of red snapper and a small piece of salmon, covering the fish in the now well-cooked vegetables. Image
After several minutes when the fish is cooked through garnish with more chopped parsley, coriander and chives and serve over rice or other side dish.

There is a whole weird schtick out there by people who gained huge followings on Twitter; now trying to make the platform worse, as some sort of weird revenge against the new ownership...like "let's destroy this...even though most of my fame and followers come from this"...
This isn't a quiet thing, it's purposeful. Some people are saying that they want to purposely test the ostensibly new guidelines, creating fake accounts, impersonating others, trying to drive people to other platforms. Purposely being offensive.
So the idea of these folk, many of whom have followers in part, or on whole, because of this platform, is to burn it down in spite...it's incredibly frustrating for people who want to use it responsibly. There is a good and important role that Twitter plays.

Over the last week or so I’ve been targeted by a huge number of unauthentic pro-Ankara accounts on social media….supposedly triggered by my critique of Ankara’s regime policies. But the method of the accounts, not have only 50-200 followers, is similar.
So I decided to dig a little deeper and not just block the accounts that reply but block those who follow them. Who follows an account that joined in August 2022 and has 54 followers, for instance, an account that only spread Ankara propaganda and essentially is just trolling?
Well it is interesting. It’s dozens of other accounts with 50 or so followers but then a few with thousands of followers, including a journalist, the head of some pro-Ankara NGO, an academic, etc.

It’s always interesting to see the Doha talking point of “you have to respect our culture at the World Cup”…but if one hosts a huge international event they need to respect other cultures too; and doesn’t AJE always lecture the west on respecting cultural other in the west?
Doha wants it both ways, it wants its oppression and authoritarianism to be respected but it doesn’t want to respect others; so for instance it demands everyone who comes to Doha adopt its norms. But that’s not how hosting works. The host must also respect others
And Doha literally pumps out propaganda all over the region and world using media and lobbies to try to manipulate other countries and demand they respect others.

It's not a coincidence that every authoritarian regime and leading crusher of human rights is on the "UN Human Rights Council"...part of the UN primarily exists to enrich dictators and give them endless councils to dominate so the abusers run the councils on abuse.
While it's true the UN was created by some democracies, many of which had empires, after the Holocaust and was supposed to be involved in peace and human rights and things...it was then outsourced (like everything) to the authoritarian regimes who immediately saw its usefulness.
It probably wasn't a good sign when the UN was run by a former member of the Wehrmacht, the armed forces of Nazi Germany, and we can trace that directly to the era where the abusers and dictators all began to take over the UN in the 1970s.

Is this 1899 series worth watching?
Boring so far, prefer Night to Remember…but Im also a Titanicophile type…obsessed with minutiae
Did you know Charles Lightoller was the second officer on board the RMS Titanic and the most senior member of the crew to survive the Titanic disaster and helped at Dunkirk Image
