1/ I made a sequel to this thread because some interesting details emerged. The journalist who wrote about Finland's and Sweden's NATO membership for EC.
Sven R. Larson is a political economist and author. He was born in Sweden, but has lived in the United States for 16 years.
2/ Larsen has also worked in other media in the USA. Back in 2015, on Insidesources_com, he wrote that “together with Viktor Orban, the threat of nationalism is a formidable threat to the EU”. Finally, he wrote that “Europe’s nationalist turn is bad news”.
3/ Nowadays he writes for the European Conservative media. He sees Orban's politics today as a success.
4/ He has published e.g. of the story series ”The Subjugation of Democracy”, which is clearly aimed at an academic audience like Matthew Tyrmand informed us in CPAC 2022 in Budapest.
5/ The 1st part of the story tells e.g. about how Hungary's administration and democracy has been attacked by the leftist and Eurobureaucrats for no reason. Also in the second part he accuses socialists of monopolizing democracy.
6/ In Larsen’s opinion, the academic world treats Trump, for example, arrogantly and is guilty of academic misconduct. This in part leads to the subjugation of democracy.
7/ “Alternative values, such as freedom, are deemed false and antithetical to ‘democracy.’ In short, the Left is pointing us in an ugly, totalitarian direction”.
8/ "Brexit worked and the UK leaves the EU behind". Larson has written several articles about Orban's success in domestic politics and on the diplomatic front.
9/ An interesting view opens up when you look at where else Larson has written. He participates in e.g. for the content production of the libertarian MISES think tank operating in Sweden. MISES declares itself to be of Austrian origin.
10/ Its Twitter account has been silent for a couple of years, but was activated a few days ago. It re-started e.g. retweeting Paul Joseph Watson. Sven R Larson writes on the website of the MISES institute that “Sweden has been hit by 90 years of social democratic devastation”.
11/ After this, it turns out that Larsson’s writings (e.g. why Hungarian family policy is better than Swedish ) are published on both Geopolitica_ru and Katehon_ru/Katehon_com pages.
12/ Katehon is a Russian think tank led by Aleksander Dugin and Konstantin Malofeev (president of Katehon).
Some of the articles have been published in the same form in European Conservative and Katehon media.
13/ The editorial board of Katehon is "unique": it consists mainly of ex-KGB generals. Several people have later worked for RISS (The Russian Institute for Strategic Studies) and Russia's SVR (Foreign Intelligence).
14/ Malofeev is known e.g. WCF as a financier of the organization (Word Congress of Families) and the European far-right movement. He also played a central role in the initial coordination of the preparation of the Donbas military operation in 2014.
Erik R Larsen is a libertarian journalist who writes for the European Conservative media. He doesn't necessarily have a personal relationship with Tyrmand. Matthew Tyrmand (Steve Bannon's insider) is a member of the European Conservative Editorial Board. europeanconservative.com/about/
The editorial board is responsible for what kind of journalism is published. In this case, it is not clear whether the sharing of articles with Katehon is the decision of the journalist or the EC's editorial board. By default, a journalist cannot make such a decision alone.
Libertarians often hold rather apologetic views on 🇷🇺. Supporting and admiring Orban's policy (also policy on RU-UA war) is typical. However, sharing publications in the media run by the 🇷🇺 intelligence and Kremlin propagandists is a pretty bold decision even for libertarian.

Yet another story about the extraordinary news from Nawfal.
This time his radar hits Moldova and he publishes the news that Archbishop Marchel's sacred mission had been sabotaged. The The Moldovan border authorities were said to have been in the way. 1/
The disturbing news for Nawfal is brought to you by Victoria Shapa, who at the same time reports extensively on how 🇲🇩 democracy is under threat. The new president was elected by the diaspora living in Europe (not 🇷🇺). Sandu, she says, is a Soros-like tyrant and a warmonger.
2/
Shapa ran in 2023 to become the mayor of 🇲🇩's second largest city and announced that she wanted to run the city together with Marina Tauber. Both are members of the Shor party that was founded by exiled pro-Kremlin businessman Igor Shor. 3/
Mario Nawfal shares an interview in which Michal Rachon explains how the Polish government is threatening democracy and trying to shut down the right-wing media, RepublikaTV. 1/
Rachon speculates that the government is trying to silence them because RepublikaTV got the Trump interview and the government media did not.
2/
Rachon presents an alternative reality that Tusk and Sikorski led "the original EU’s pro-Kremlin Reset". Rachon analyses that Trump gave Ukraine the tools, instead Biden allowed Ukraine to burn. Contrary to what we might have imagined. 3/
A few comments on the terrorist attack in Germany.
According to preliminary information, the attacker is
Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, a doctor of psychiatry from Saudi Arabia.
He is a staunch anti-Muslim and supports the views of anti-jihadist groups 1/
such as Tommy Robinson, Amy Mek/Rair Foundation. Both Robinson and Mek/RAIR are linked to the Kremlin's information war.
His admiration for Elon Musk and Trump is also striking. 2/
al-Abdulmohsen's X account is active and we see him admiring Salwan Momika's posts. Momika, who hails from Iraq, became famous for his Quran-burning exploits in Sweden. 3/
1/ Even more significant and disturbing is the fact that "NAFO activist" Kyiv Post analyst/editor Jason Jay Smart presents members of the group as experts and pro-Ukrainian actors.
1/ The 2010 Smolensk air disaster killed a large part of the Polish ruling elite. The aftermath of the crash changed the political climate of the Polish state.
2/ Soon after the disaster, the PiS party began to support the narrative that the Russian state leadership was behind the crash. At the same time, suspicions were raised that Prime Minister Donald Tusk was in collusion with the Kremlin.
3/ This aftermath of the crash was already having an impact on political power relations in the early 2010s.
The most active party behind the Smolensk conspiracy theory was Antoni Macierewicz (later promoted to Defence Minister).
1/ We see that Sumlenny has reinvented himself several times during his career. The latest of these personas is "a pro-Ukrainian, pro-PiS government policy influencer focused on the CEE region". At the same time, he is extremely critical of Germany.
2/ In this thread, I will take a perspective on how Sumlenny is linked behind the PIS party's Intermarium/3SI project and what other figures are influencing this environment.
3/ When PiS revived the Intermarium idea some years ago, it was initially marketed as a network that would be a platform for cooperation between countries in the CEE region and would act as a natural counterweight to the Western European centre of power.
