🧵 Sundance is fast-approaching, which means Hollywood is shutting down again, so here’s a cheat sheet of when the industry is OOTO.
JANUARY: Sundance. Don’t expect to reach anyone the week before, during the 10 days up on the mountain, or the week after. So, this month’s done.
FEBRUARY: After the Sundance hangover extends through the first week, pilot season madness gets into full swing, but you can still squeeze out a few productive days.
MARCH: SXSW! Oscars! Expect radio silence during lead-up parties, the event parties, and post-event recuperation.
APRIL: Mark your calendars! This is the month when things get done. Awards season is over and everyone hunkers down looking for that hot new script. With no parties or festivals on the schedule, expect weekend reads and follow-ups! Yay!
