I also love how #NadavLapid chose to respond to the Israeli ambassador with "I'm embarrassed of the ambassador that he would say such a thing."

People are acting like he is answerable to ambassadors and he's reminding people that actually the ambassador is answerable to him.

In a democracy, ambassadors work for the voters. #NadavLapid is right in responding like a free human being in a democracy would. Who the fuck is the ambassador to lecture him? India's authoritarian indoctrination leaves bhakts unable to see this point. Thinking it's a rebuke.

In fact @NaorGilon should be fired because he literally betrayed his number one duty, which is to protect and look after the interests of one of his country's citizens being unfairly attacked by partisans in the country he is the ambassador to.

Like a fireman committing arson.

I hope @ADL & @HolocaustMuseum weigh in on this instance of an Israeli Ambassador attacking #NadavLapid an Israeli citizen for expressing his frank opinion of exactly the kind of movie the the museums shows us led to the Holocaust. TFK is Hindutva Heimkehr. Agnihotri is Uicky.

What #NadavLapid said was exactly what @ADL @HolocaustMuseum and until now, a typical Israeli Ambassador would encourage everyone to say when they encounter dehumanizing propaganda. That the Holocaust started not with concentration camps but with films like TKF.

I learned about Heimkehr many years ago from the @HolocaustMuseum. Of course a conscientious Israeli Jewish filmmaker is going to be revolted by TKF and call it out. That's what he's been taught, rightly. But obviously @NaorGilon refused to learn.

TKF is such naked lurid hatefull propaganda that even Leni Reifenstahl would have cringed and trashed the film.

Authoritarian worshiping sanghis in their reality distortion field think Gilon lecturing #NadavLapid is a rebuke of the filmmaker when it's actually an embarrassment that is on the Ambassador. Arguably treasonous of @NaorGilon & definitely fire-able offense.

Israeli ambassador bashing an Israeli for calling out a hateful propaganda Nazilike film is like a defense lawyer trying to trap his client into confessing a crime he didn't commit. A doctor trying to reduce a covid patient's oxygen level. A lifeguard pushing you below water.

I admire how the @ADL speaks up not just against anti-semitism, but against any Nazilike tactics that seek to dehumanize people based on their identity.

I hope they loudly and emphatically come out in support of #NadavLapid & ask that the Ambassador be recalled.
